MACHANGULO HOUSE MACHANGULO PENINSULA, MOZAMBIQUE
MACHANGULO The Machangulo Nature Reserve is on a peninsular due East of Maputo, which is the capital and the base for the main international airport of Mozambique. The peninsular is bordered on the East by the Indian Ocean and Maputo Bay on the West. On the South of the Machangulo Nature Reserve is the Maputo Elephant Reserve, which is currently having game re-introduced and being upgraded with rangers houses being constructed and anti-poaching units commencing. The peninsular is separated from Inhaca Island by a short sea gap Hell s Gate. The beaches are 16 km long with only a dozen of the eventual 60 houses currently constructed. As a result, one can walk on the beaches for hours without seeing another human being. The peninsular has beautiful coastal riverine bush behind the beach, with abundant birdlife and some small game. Inland it has magnificent lakes, some of them fresh water and some sea water. It is remote, and while the accommodation is luxurious it is not for those who prefer a social party type holiday with numerous cocktail parties! Machangulo has its own airstrip which is a short 20 minute hop from Maputo and regular services are operated by CFA Air Charters to both Machangulo and Inhaca Island. There are also speed boat services that operate between Maputo and Machangulo and this takes approximately 1 hour. The drive to Machangulo is through the Elephant Reserve where you will see game and some very beautiful scenery but it does require a 4 x 4 vehicle and is 4 hours from Maputo

A separate lounge and a separate television room opens up to this deck as well. Three main bedrooms with beautiful en-suite bathrooms in separate cottages give each guest the opportunity to view the ocean from their own bath in full privacy. Unless of course you prefer to view the dolphins from your outside shower! Rooms of Machagulo House, MozambiqueThe cottages are interlinked by the main deck. On the main deck several covered and uncovered lounge areas have been created to suit relaxing during all hours of the day. A garage and staff accommodation are included in the property. At all times three staff are employed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

There are two cleaners and a security guard.
BEACH PARADISE Entertainment on the Peninsular A boat trip to Inhaca Island can be arranged lunch there is great fun! Deep Sea fishing, snorkeling or diving Fishing off the beach Wildlife walks and bird watching Beach walks A drive to Santa Maria village will take 45 minutes and one can visit the local vegetable and bread stalls, and the trading store there and also have a fine meal in a restaurant.
