CFL ( Caring for Life ) are a Christian charity who receive support from rail operator First Trans Pennine Express. The charity care for people who have lacked positive experiences early in their life. They also care for people who have moderate or significant learning difficulties, finding it difficult to cope with everyday life experiences. Whilst homelessness is often the initial reason for people coming to CFL s attention, housing someone often only addresses one problem in that person s life. By tackling underlying problems, CFL can provide a new beginning or fresh start for someone. The projects at CFL address fundamental issues such as a person s self esteem, responsibility and having a purpose in life and encourage them to take on new challenges and develop new skills and can also learn to care for others.

PCSO Varey said: It is very important to promote safety on the railways and one of the most effective ways to achieve this is to ensure that youngsters are involved and educated whilst still at a young age before they are open to negative influences from their surroundings and older peers. As part of the fun, the youngsters also took part in activities such as face painting and practical activities.
