Al I on BOARD Coalition FINISH THE LINE In Support of the Crenshaw Line Northern Extension Overview The City of West Hol lywood is advocating for a northern extension of the Crenshaw/LAX Line through West Hol lywood and into Hol lywood - and wants this light ra il extension to be included in the upcoming Measure R2, which will be on the November ballot. The preferred ro ute would extend the rail line along San Vicente Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard, then east (and north) to Hol lywood & Highland where it will connect with the Red Line. (See attached map.) The extension of the Crenshaw Line is an opportunity to optimize Metro's existing network, connecting to over 700 regional destinations. This northern extension of the Crenshaw/LAX Line would enhance regional connectivity and wou ld be a critica l north-south transit alternative between LAX and Inglewood to Hollywood and beyond, ultimately providing a one-seat trip connecting Torrance to Hollywood & Highland. With a stop at Cedars-Sinai, the Crenshaw Line would enhance regional mobility and provide much-needed access to transit and quality health care for over 50,000 projected daily riders. The extension wou ld also increase east-west ridership by connecting to the Purple, Red, Green and Expo Lines. All On Board Coalition and WHAM (West Hollywood Advocates for Metro rail) The All On Board Coalition and WHAM (West Hol lywood Advocates for Metro rai l) were formed in order to organize growing community support to complete the Crenshaw Line northern extension to Hollywood. The All On Board Coalition is a regional coalition, comprised of businesses and community members along the Crenshaw Corridor and in Inglewood. WHAM is comprised of engaged stakeholders in West Hollywood and the surrounding communities. Updated : March 8, 2016
