Seven fun-filled weeks of Christmas activities, performances, decorations and promotions happening right in the heart of Wollongong City Centre. SANTA S ARRIVAL SATURDAY 4 NOVEMBER 11AM Wollongong Central Welcome the season in true Christmas spirit by joining the arrival parade. Commencing at 11am on Level 1 Crown outside Rebel. There will be local community groups, playful elves, Samoyed dogs, Christmas characters, Mrs Claus and of course, Santa! Follow the parade and enjoy the magical Christmas show. Santa will take you to his home in the Enchanted Grotto and will be available for photos until Christmas Eve. Plus enjoy free face painting and gingerbread decorating from 12pm - 4pm. SANTA PHOTOGRAPHY 4 NOVEMBER - 24 DECEMBER Wollongong Central Level 1 Crown near KFC Santa will be in his enchanted grotto so come by and say hi or give him your wish list! You can also have your professional photo taken with Santa. We understand your pets are part of the family too, so book a photo session with Santa and your furry friends! Sensitive Santa photo sessions are also available for children that find the common hustle and bustle and sensory overload too much. SWING INTO CHRISTMAS THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE Wollongong Central, Level 1 Crown Set within Santa s Enchanted Grotto, the life-sized Gingerbread House will bring a touch of spice for the sweet-toothed and young hearted. Snap a selfie or decorate your own Gingerbread Man with free workshops every weekend from 11am - 3pm. CHRISTMAS WINDOWS Crown Street Mall After a popular debut last year, the windows of the ex-david Jones store on Crown Street Mall will again come to life. Be mesmerised as Santa s elves set to work in themed workshops from 4 November until Christmas. WOLLONGONG GIVING TREE LAUNCH Friday 17 November 10.45am - 11.30am Crown Street Mall Amphitheatre Stage We invite you to come and enjoy this traditional Christmas event and spread the joy. Each year Wollongong City Council calls for gifts from the community to ensure those children less fortunate enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Unwrapped gifts or gift cards for children 0-16 years can be received until 18 December. For collection points and more information visit wollongong.nsw.gov.au/christmas 28TH ANNUAL CITY OF WOLLONGONG BIKERS TOY RUN Saturday 2 December 10.30am - 12.30pm Crown Street Mall Amphitheatre Stage Hundreds of motorbike riders take part to bring toys for the Giving Tree which are then distributed in the Illawarra by local charities. This event is part of the Giving Tree which supports St Vincent de Paul and Anglicare who play an important role in helping make Christmas a special day for all children. Entertainment will kick-off in the Crown Street Mall from 10.30am with the motorbikes arriving at 11am. EAT STREET SONG Thursday 14 December 6pm - 8.30pm Crown Street Mall Amphitheatre Stage Carols and songs of celebration by Out of the Blue Singers and the Arcadians Lamplighters Male Choir during Eat Street Markets. Popular women s acapella choir Out of the Blue Singers thrilled audiences with their most recent show, Cabernet and Cabaret and The Arcadians Lamplighters Male Choir sang with 400 male voices in the spectacular concert Let All Men Sing at WIN Entertainment Centre.
