VIAJE A LVO IS A JO E R IA G ELN OE S OC OR IN G TIT E N EO S L A R O S A "Everything has its mother in the universe, the mother of life is sound, and the mother of sound is silence. Sound is luminous vibration, it is timeless and it transcends physical times, that is why it leads us to our origins, because it has to do with our creation, with our evolution and with our path. Sound is invisible energy, sound is a portal that opens closed spaces towards life, towards healing, but above all, sound is an expression of love that moves your most intimate fibers." Tito La Rosa

Testimonials This was incomparably the most meaningful and deeply felt experience I ve ever had traveling, and I have traveled the world extensively through the years. This trip, experiencing the sacredness of Peru, the warmth of the group, being with both of you and all your knowing, touched me at a soul level; it stays with me I am feeling happy and grateful for the experience. Thank you, Ailish for an exquisitely well planned and meaningful adventure. I will keep Happy Mountain close to my heart forever. KT The wondrous tour of the Sacred Valley of Peru, Cusco and Machu Picchu in July was a complete vacation for us. It was one of the best we have experienced. Our skilled facilitators prepared a splendid blend of historical knowledge, culture, ceremony, music, culinary delights and comfortable accommodation so that we could completely immerse ourselves in the experience. Many thanks to Ailish and Tito and all participants for a fantastic trip. Linda and Francois. The Viaje de los Origines with Ailish, Tito and Rafi was the perfect blend of a small intimate group experience with the self expanding impact of Peru s deep history, archeology, mysticism, energy, spirituality, culture, music and delectable cuisine..a trip of a lifetime, that I highly recommend and one that I intend to repeat! NH I recently had the absolute pleasure of participating in a trip to Peru that was called Viaje de los Origenes which loosely translated means Journey to the Origins. And, that is what it was. We had on board Tito de la Rosa, an outstanding musician and sound healer who guided us through many of the sites we saw and offered additional information on the places that we were visiting. Indeed, he often accompanied us with his flute which made the experiences all the more sublime. We visited Pisac ruins and spent time at crop circles at Moray where we went to a very out of the way circle and had time to meditate, rest and soak in the sounds of the music along with the sounds of nature. At Machu Picchu we were accompanied by a guide carefully chosen by Tito for his extensive and in-depth knowledge of the ruins and the history. We were guided at a pace that was neither too fast or too slow and allowed us time to be at a certain place to which we felt particularly attracted. There were three experiences that made this trip even more unusual. The first was in Aqua Calientes where were walked to a hidden waterfall that was behind some hot springs and were able to make offerings and be with the rushing water, the sounds and beauty of the falls. We were then also able to take advantage of the thermal springs. The next was a stop at a Wildlife Refuge Center between Pisac and Cuzco where we saw native animals that were in need of care and being taken care of until they were able to be released. This included several unusual species and also included condors whose beauty and grace stopped us in our tracks. The last one was at Tito s home where we had a beautiful flower ceremony along with Benito, a Q ero elder. This was quite meaningful for the group. To top things off Tito was able to provide some instruction on several of the instruments he uses. Tito and Ailish working together made this trip an experience I would repeat the stunning houses where we stayed along with the home cooked food made this trip go off the charts as far as overall comfort, hospitality, learning and experiencing the beautiful and glorious country of Peru. Trip Leaders Tito La Rosa For more than a decade, La Rosa, a descendent of Quechua Indians of the Peruvian Andes, has been recovering and preserving, studying, and intuiting the ancestral music of Peru. La Rosa, educated as a sociologist, worked for the Peruvian Ministry of Culture where he was given access to museums at night he spent exploring the sonorous universe of pre-columbian instruments. Experimenting with the sounds of these 2000-year-old musical instruments, speaking with the archeologists, listening to the sounds of the wind and the murmuring this acoustical and magical ancestral world. Invited by a friend to the jungle to participate in a healing retreat conducted by local medicine men and women who use plant medicines and traditional songs to invoke healing, La Rosa began studying their traditions and musically accompanying these curanderos in their traditional healing ceremonies. His honoring of these two ancestral universes along with their ceremonies and rituals is the base of his sound healing work. Over thirty years he has collected pre Columbian musical instruments and shamanic art. He considers these instruments and musical instruments in general to be living beings. La Rosa has released nine CDs of original recordings. He has toured with Kitaro and was featured on Kitaro s 2001 Grammy-winning CD,. Kitaro has said of La Rosa, "His attraction to the Spirit dimension and his love of all things from the natural world allow him to traverse musical landscapes with tranquility and deep passion. Tito is a Curandero de Sonido, a Shaman of Music. When performing ritual and ceremony for healing, he enters into an altered state to bring forth sound that elevates the frequency of an individual and allows for healing and balance to occur. La Rosa is a frequent presenter at International Conferences including a conference on Traditional Instruments in Contemporary Music, sponsored by the French Government. He also took part in "Heart and Hands: Musical Instrument Makers of America," a Smithsonian traveling exhibit.
