ICOM GLASS MEETING 2013 BRATISLAVA LEDNICKÉ ROVNÉ, SLOVAKIA OCTOBER 28-31, 2013 Preliminary program Before Congress Tour (By plane, train or bus to Vienna or Bratislava) October, weekend 25 27. VIENNA. Our colleague, Peter Rath of Light & Glass Society, has organized a wonderful program of visits in Vienna (just 1 hour away from Bratislava), for the ICOM Glass participants who arrive to Vienna on Friday 25th to see the work being done in the workshop of Lobmeyr till 1 pm., or if they arrive later or on the weekend to have on Saturday a tour to the main store in Kärntnerstraße 26 and then, to the workshop building in Salesianergasse 9 (10 minutes walk between the two addresses), store open till 5pm. Also on Sunday with a (Saturday telephone appointment Vienna number 5120508) with an agreed time for meeting at the store (not open, but tour on appointment of the famous "Vienna Glass Museum-Lobmeyr") and then, walking to a tour of the workshops (not working, but unique). If the participants wish go to Vienna after the ICOM Glass Meeting, for the weekend November 1 st till November 3 rd, this only on appointment during the week of the conference ( telephone number of Vienna 0043 1 5120508 or 0043 1 713477110). Recommendation: Vienna is only 60km from Bratislava and there is good bus connection we also suggest for members from overseas to come some days earlier or stay longer, Bratislava is located only 1hour ride to Vienna, 2,5 hours to Budapest, 4 hours to Prague or Cracow.

But in Bratislava is mostly everything in walking distance.
