Itinerary Day 1. Saturday, 7 October (D) This morning depart Brisbane flying to Darwin. Upon arrival at Darwin Airport you will be met by the coach driver to begin a short city orientation enroute to your hotel. This evening enjoy a group Welcome Dinner. Day 2. Sunday, 8 October (B,L) After breakfast at your hotel depart for a Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River, including a visit to the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, stopping at the Humpty Doo Pub on the return for lunch. After a leisurely afternoon, we will transfer to Mindil Beach Markets where you will have time to explore the markets at your own pace. Day 3. Monday, 9 October (B,D) A morning tour of World War II sites, with commentary on the story of Darwin at war, including visits to Oil Storage Tunnels, East Point Military Precinct and Museum, Fanny Bay Gaol and the Botanical Gardens. After a leisurely afternoon enjoy a Sunset Dinner Cruise on-board the Spirit of Darwin. Day 4. Tuesday, 10 October (B,L,D) A full day trip to Litchfield National Park visiting the magnetic and cathedral termite mounds, then onto Florence and Wangi Falls. This evening enjoy dinner at your hotel. Day 5: Wednesday, 11 October (B,L,D) After breakfast, coach transfer to Darwin Railway Station to board The Ghan. The Friendly staff will lead you to your comfortable private cabin where you can take your time settling in and exploring the amenities as the view outside your window begins its smooth and spectacular transformation. Lunch in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant is bound to satisfy and delight with culinary wonders prepared on board by talented chefs. And as you sit back and relax, you arrive in Katherine ready to experience your first included Off Train Excursion to the magnificent and spiritual Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Back on board you ll return to the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, enjoying dinner as the sun sets over the outback. Then back in your room you ll find your bed turned down with a cheeky nightcap waiting on the bedside table. As the train rolls soothingly onwards, fall asleep in awe of wonders seen, and excited by those yet to come. Stay: On Board the Ghan Day 6: Thursday, 12 October (B,D) Wake up to a new view outside your window, in a world which feels a million miles from home. An outback sunrise could be one of the most spectacular you ll ever see, setting the tone for the day ahead. After coffee, a juice and a sumptuous
breakfast you ll arrive in Alice Springs ready for another day of exploration. Here you have the opportunity to embark on one of the included Off Train Excursions, taking in the delights of this famous outback town. A full day in Alice Springs gives you ample opportunity to visit the town landmarks, get up close and personal with Australia s incredible flora and fauna or explore the Alice at your own leisure. Come the evening you ll dine beneath a canopy of stars at an authentic Outback Pioneer Dinner. This is a truly unique experience with live Australiana music and a feast of mouth-watering steak and traditionally made damper. After dessert, cast your eyes skyward and ponder life, the universe and everything with an informative astronomical talk. And with a full belly and deep sense of wonderment, it s back on the train to rest up and roll out of Alice Springs, fulfilled in every sense of the word. Stay: On Board the Ghan Day 7: Friday, 13 October (B,L,D) After breakfast this morning you ll wake up and rub your eyes with disbelief as we pull into the middle-of-nowhere stop at Manguri. Here, a friendly tour guide awaits ready to whisk you away for the day. Your destination - the sunscorched opal mining capital of the world, Coober Pedy, where more than half of the residents live underground. After an eye-opening action-packed day - if you haven t chosen to stay and find your fortune - it s back on board with plenty of time to ease into a slower gear and prepare yourself for your final evening on board The Ghan. Dine in style in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, meet and share stories with new friends in the Outback Explorer Lounge (open until late) or simply head back to the privacy of your cabin to wind down, read a book and plan your next epic journey. Stay: On Board the Ghan where you will have time at leisure to wander the markets and find some lunch for yourself (at own expense). Our coach will then take us on a city sightseeing tour of the City of Churches before arriving at your central Adelaide hotel where you will have a 2 night stay. Stay: Adina Apartment Hotel, Adelaide Treasury Stay: Adina Apartment Hotel, Adelaide Treasury Day 9: Sunday, 15 October (B,D) A full day trip to the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley today. We start with a drive up to Mt Lofty Lookout for spectacular views over Adelaide and St Vincent Gulf. Travelling via the quaint villages of Crafers, Stirling and Aldgate and the Bridgewater Mill water wheel, we will visit The Cedars, home and studio to Australia s foremost landscape painter. Then it s time to explore the quaint German village of Hahndorf, including time to have some lunch (at own expense). We will stop at the world famous Whispering Wall, the parabolic dam wall near Williamstown, on our way to the renowned Barossa Valley and a visit to Jacobs Creek Winery Visitor Centre. After a stop at Mengler Hill Lookout to view the vast vineyards of the Barossa, we return to Adelaide. Stay: Adina Apartment Hotel, Adelaide Treasury Day 10: Monday, 16 October (B) It s time to head home today. However, as a treat before departure, our coach will transfer us to the famous Glenelg tram for a yesteryear journey to Glenelg, with time to explore this lovely seaside village and stroll the pier, before coach pick up and transfer to Adelaide Airport for your flight home. Day 8: Saturday, 14 October (B) Looking out of your window this morning you ll notice a dramatic change in landscape as the rich ochre tones of the outback make way for the beautiful green fields and pastoral lands of South Australia. After breakfast you ll have time to reflect on your journey before The Ghan rolls into Adelaide. On arrival into Adelaide around lunch time, you will be met by your coach which will transfer you to the Adelaide Central Markets,

Seniors Holiday Travel Team Group Travel Terms of Trade and Schedule of Fees Prices Schedules and availability, fare conditions and prices can change at any time. Price changes may occur for reason or matters outside our control which increase the cost of the products or service. Such factors include fuel surcharges, taxes and airfare increases. another Travel Insurance Policy or believe you have adequate cover from a credit card policy we will require a photocopy and details of the insurance cover that you hold. Please note that if you have insurance from another source and subsequently require our assistance in processing an insurance claim, this will incur a fee of at least $110. Deposits Seniors Holiday Travel Team requires a booking deposit which is charged per person and deducted from your final balance. The deposit is non-refundable if you should cancel. i. 1st deposit for this tour is $800.00 per person and is due within 7 days of booking. ii. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. Payments All prices are based on payment by cash, direct deposit or cheque. A credit card surcharge of 2% for Visa and Mastercard and 3% for American Express Card applies if you elect to use them for payment. If you opt to make a direct deposit into our nominated bank account it may take at least 24 hours to be processed into our account. Cancellations, Refunds & Amendments Any cancellations of the Tour will result in the following cancellation fees: +Days of notice prior to Tour commencement From booking until 90 days 89 days or less Cancellation charge (per person) Loss of Deposit 100% of Tour Price including deposit Cancellation must be made in writing for your reservation to be cancelled. Health & Fitness/Activity Level You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel and that you are able to participate in the activities included in your itinerary. If you are unsure about your fitness to travel, please check with your GP or specialist clinic. Payment of deposit to Seniors Holiday Travel Team acts as a warranty that the traveller is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in the tour. Seniors Holiday Travel Team reserves the right to remove a traveller from a tour at the travellers own expense, if their health/ fitness interferes with the tour or other travellers tour experience in any way. We do not, nor are we required to, provide carers or assistants for those with reduced mobility or other health needs. In particular, tour guides, coach drivers, and your fellow passengers will not act as assistants or carers in these circumstances. Travel Insurance Travel Insurance is highly recommended for all travellers. Seniors Holiday Travel Team can assist with your travel insurance needs. Please ensure you take note of the special inclusions and exclusions as they may relate to your particular circumstances. Pre-existing Medical conditions and cover for these are approved or rejected by the Insurer. If you have taken out Travel Documentation Travel documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other documentation used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including being non-refundable, non-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. These documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/ photo id holder. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and it may be cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if not advised at time of booking. As a general rule, your travel documents are issued by the service providers two weeks prior to departure. For any amendments after final payment a fee of $55 per document plus supplier fees will be charged. Third Party Suppliers Our tour itinerary is a guide only and although we will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the programme, we reserve the right to make any alterations as necessary. Alterations may come about due to weather conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals, renovations and/or upgrades or other reasons. Any additional expense incurred by the passenger is not our responsibility. Your travel arrangements are subject to the booking conditions of each travel provider you are using. Seniors Holiday Travel Team is responsible for advising upon travel arrangements and making the bookings. Seniors Holiday Travel Team is not responsible for cancellations of tours, loss or damage directly or indirectly caused by the airline or suppliers and other transport delays or reschedules, or insolvency, loss or damage to person, property delays, accidents, acts of war and force majeure impacting upon your travel arrangements. Seniors Holiday Travel Team acts only as an agent. Airfares included in your package holiday are provided in economy class. Seniors Holiday Travel Team cannot be responsible for seating allocation. Privacy Statement Your contact information will be required by third party suppliers to accept and confirm a booking. Privacy Laws safeguard your personal details from being distributed for marketing purposes. Your information may be used by Seniors Holiday Travel Team for the purpose of relaying travel related information about you to third parties. You agree that our Seniors Holiday Travel Team representative or third party suppliers may take photographs of you while you are on holiday and that these may be used in our Group Brochures and/or advertising, publicity material or online without obtaining any further consent or payments in respect of such photographs and/or films.
