* Note to editors The monthly Airport Traffic Report has evolved to include a wide range of 87 European airports. To reflect better this development, airport groups will be classified in line with a definition developed in a European Commission working paper. As such, the airports in this report are now divided into four groups based on yearly passenger figures from 2002 - according to the following definitions: Group 1 - major airports welcoming more than 25 million passengers per year; Group 2 - large airports welcoming between 10 and 25 million passengers per year; Group 3 - medium sized airports welcoming between 5 and 10 million passengers per year; and Group 4 - small airports welcoming less than 5 million passengers per year. ENDS For more information, please contact Ronan Anderson, Communications Manager, ACI EUROPE at e-mail: ronan.anderson@aci-europe.org, mobile: +32 (0)486 54 14 71 or tel: +32 (0)2 552 09 82. Airports Council International (ACI) is the only worldwide professional association of airport operators. ACI EUROPE represents over 450 airports in 45 European countries. Member airports handle 90 of commercial air traffic in Europe, welcoming over a billion passengers each year.
