PAGE 2 September: Kerrie Gilbert Ellis presented an excellent program about Liberian fabrics. She discussed the different traditional fabrics and how each pieces design meant something like the area the fabric was made, pattern, and wealth status. Kerrie had many samples of the fabrics and as a special treat, everyone was given a piece of Vlisco fabric. Wednesdays 10:00-2:00 The guild room is open for fun, fellowship, mystery lunches, and of course quilting! Work on projects together or work on your own. The Guild appreciates all the work they do!!! Brenda Thrash on behalf of the guild presented a patriotic quilt to Iris Hallbert in appreciation for her service to our country. Reminder: Christmas blocks are due. Unroll dough onto work surface. Spread with raspberry preserves. Sprinkle evenly with almonds. Roll dough back up. Cut dough roll into 8 equal slices. Place slices cut side down on nonstick cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 16 minutes or until golden and puffed. Cool 10 minutes before enjoying. Please be packed & ready to leave the facility on or before 11:00 am Sunday. Cost: $140 per camper. Payment guarantees your space & is due at the time of registration. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. Please contact the camp director if you re unable to attend camp. We have a wait-list and will be glad to help you find a replacement, but there are no guarantees. What is provided: Lodging, meals, beverages to include water, tea, lemonade, fruit punch, coffee, (beginning with lunch on Thursday & ending with a continental breakfast on Sunday), sewing tables, community cutting & ironing stations. Suggested items to bring: Anything you might need to work on your personal project(s).
