Siem Reap - is the provincial capital of Siem Reap province. This small town crossed by a river coming from the Kulen Mountain is the gateway for the visit of the Angkor Park which is over 400 km2 and is home of more than 100 temples dating from the 9th to 13th century. Lunch at local restaurant (at your own cost) Chong Kneah floating village - after check in to hotel, transfer to the Phnom Krom pier for boat on Tonle Sap Lake to visit floating village of Chong Khneah at the edge of Tonle Sap Lake. Cambodia s Great Lake, the Boueng Tonle Sap (Tonle Sap Lake) is the most prominent feature on the map of Cambodia a huge dumbbell-shaped body of water stretching across the northwest section of the country. In the wet season, the Tonle Sap Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, swelling to an expansive 12,000km2. During the dry, half of the year the lake shrinks to as 3000 km2, draining into the Tonle Sap River, which meanders southeast eventually merging with the Mekong River at the Chaktomuk confluence of river opposite Phnom Penh. Return to Siem Reap after watching sunset over the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill. Dominating the flat landscape, this 10th Century mountain temple is the most popular spot in the area to watch a classic sunset over Angkor Wat and the surrounding forest or Watching sunset at Pre Rup temple, a Hindu temple, built as the state temple of king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. The temple s name is a comparatively modern one meaning "turn the body". This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple, with the ashes of the body being ritually rotated in different directions as the service progressed. Overnight at your hotel in Siem Reap. DAY II - ANGKOR WAT, ANGKOR THOM, BAYON, TAPROHM AND SMALL CIRCUIT Angkor Wat Sunrise (optional) - at 5am, pick up for viewing the picturesque sunrise at Angkor Wat. Wake-up call and breakfast to be ordered at your hotel reception and carried with for sunrise or return to hotel for breakfast and start the tours again. Angkor Wat - after breakfast, visit the magnificent temple built by Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Angkor Wat symbolizes Mount Meru, home of the gods, and considered the pinnacle of Khmer architecture. This Vishnuite temple is the King s funerary temple, which is why the temple is oriented to the west. Inside the temple the walls are covered by carvings and bas-reliefs depicting the Hindu mythology and the wars during the reign of Suryavarman II. As well, Angkor Wat is well-known for the 1800 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. It is said to take a lifetime to discover all the wonders of this temple.

Angkor Thom City complex - continue transfer to Great City of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8 m high wall; each side of the city is 3 kilometers long. It draws a perfect square you access this town through 5 gates, 4 of them represent the cardinal points and the 5th one the Victory Gate was the one leading directly to the Royal Palace Area. You will arrive via the South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and 4 giant faces. On each side is a row of 54 gods or demons holding the sacred Naga snake. After passing through the South Gate, you will go down along this shady road to the Bayon temple. This temple lies exactly in the center of the city. The particularity of this monument is the 54 towers representing the 54 provinces of the then Great Khmer Empire. Each tower has 4 faces. This is the only temple in Cambodia depicting scenes of the everyday life at the time of the empire. From the Bayon continue by walk to the Baphoun recently re-opened to the public. There you will pass by the Phimeanakas the location of the Royal Palace. The only remaining are a pound and a temple. The palace was made of wood and did not survive the time and the wars. Then continue to the Terrace of the Elephants. This Terrace was the place where the parade was done for the king. Next is the Terrace of the Leper King, depicting the water world. Lunch at local restaurant (at your own costs) Ta Prohm (known today as Tobm Raider temple) & small circuit - continues to Ta Prohm - one of the most popular temples of the Angkor Complex. This temple was built in the memory of the King Jayavarman VII s mother. When found by the French conservators at the end of the 19th century, they deliberately left this temple in the same condition as it was discovered, overgrown by strangler fig and silk-cotton trees, giving the temple a mystical and romantic appeal. Your visit will also include Banteay Kdei, a Buddhist monastery from the late 12th century, and Srah Srang, also known as the "pool of ablution", the identical twin temples of Tommanon and Chaosay Tevoda, Ta Keo and Krovan temple. Upon arrival in Battembang, check in to your hotel. Please kindly keep us informed on your hotel in Battembang. Battambang was established as an important trading city with around 2,500 residents in the 18th century. The population was centred along a single road parallel to the Sangkae River (Stung Sangkae). In 1795 Siam (modernday Thailand) annexed much of north western Cambodia including the current provinces of Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Oddar Meanchey, Pailin, and Siem Reap into the province of Inner Cambodia. The Siamese ruled Battambang as a provincial capital through the Thai-speaking Khmer Aphaiwong family, a branch of the Khmer royal

family, which governed for six generations until 1907 when the province was ceded to the French to be reunited with Cambodia as part of the French Indochina colony. Following colonization by the French, an urban layout was developed which resulted in an enlarged French colonial town. This first attempt at modernization resulted in well-defined streets laid in a grid pattern, building of urban structures and three main streets parallel to the Sangkae River, and the linking of both banks by the construction of two bridges in 1917. Military and prison facilities were also erected. Nineteen years later, a second urban development plan was implemented with a newly constructed railway linking Battambang to Phnom Penh. The urban structures were extended to the west of the town creating urban hubs oriented around the railway station. The large residential villas and public buildings built during this period of French development significantly changed the landscape of the previously remote city. A subsequent third urban development plan for Battambang involved the north, east and south of the city. This vast undertaking, which required long-term planning to integrate all of the previous work, resulted in a modern provincial capital that was by far the most developed region of Cambodia outside of Phnom Penh. Much later, more infrastructure and public facilities were built under the modernization program of the Cambodian government led by Prince Sihanouk. Several provincial departments, a court house and other public buildings were added on both sides of the river. Textile and garment factories were built by French and Chinese investors, the Battambang Airport was constructed, and the railway line was extended to the Thai border at Poipet. To serve the cultural needs of the population, numerous schools and a university were built as well as a sports centre, museum and an exhibition hall. Prasat Banan - after check in to the hotel, transfer for the visit to Prasat Phnom Banan temple, Adapts the architecture of the mid-11th century and the end of the 12th century; the temple was first built by King Dharanindravarman II (1050 1066) and was completed in its final form by the King Jayavarman VII (1181 1220). The temple is located on the top of a mountain approximately 400-meter-high located at Koh Tey 2 commune, Banan District. It can be reached by traveling 15 kilometers from the provincial town by the provincial road No 155, which runs parallel to the Sangker River. In the valley, there is Ku Teuk and two main natural wells, namely: Bit Meas and Chhung or Chhung Achey. Nory (Bamboo Train) - continue to take bamboo train. Phnom Sampov - continue to Phnom Sampov, the main article: Killing caves of Phnom Sampeau. On the top of Sam Puoy mountain, there is a temple and three natural wells, namely Pkar Slar, Lo Khuon and Ak Sopheak. Next to Sam Puoy mountain, there are some mountains, and natural sites like Phnom Trung Moan, Phnom Trung Tea and Phnom Neang Rum Say Sork. These mountains relate to the Cambodia folk legend of Reach Kol Neang Rum Say Sork. Wat Ek Phnom - continue to visit Wat Ek Phnom. Kamping Puoy lake is 1,900 meters wide, 19 kilometers long and can load 110,000,000 cubic metres. It is famous for its giant lotus flowers whose fiber is spun and weaved to make a new organic fabric. These activities employ more than 20 underprivileged women around the Lake. Lunch at local restaurant (at your own costs) Sek Sak Resort - continue to Sek Sak Resort. A natural resort which has been popular since before the civil war, Sek Sak stretches along the river bank with plants, trees and bamboo stretching 500 meters in length.
