ITINERARY DAY 1: USA- PARIS Board your overnight transatlantic flight to Paris. Relax and enjoy dinner, movie, and breakfast on board. DAY 2: ARRIVE IN PARIS, FRANCE Arrival in Paris and transfer to your hotel. Panoramic tour of the city and Boat ride on the Seine River. Welcome Dinner with wine at local French restaurant. Overnight in Paris. DAY 3: PARIS CITY TOUR Buffet Breakfast. One full day to explore the city that s known throughout the world for its fashions, art and museums, delicious food, and joie de vivre. DAY 6: ROME Buffet breakfast. We begin our day with a panoramic drive and a visit to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, featuring more of Michelangelo s masterful works. Dinner with wine at the Terme del Coloseo, a typical Italian restaurant. Overnight in Rome. DAY 7: ROME-FLORENCE After breakfast in Rome, we head north to the great city of Florence. Afternoon arrival and panoramic city tour. Florence is known as the city of the Medici Family and Machiavelli. We visit the Duomo Santa Maria in Fiore, with Brunelleschi s stunning cupola; and the Baptistery of San Giovanni. The doors of the Baptistry feature Lorenzo Ghilberti s masterwork, relief sculptures of ten notable scenes from the Old Testament. Michelangelo named these doors The Gates of Paradise. Dinner with wine in a local restaurant. Overnight in Florence. Florence The Jewel of Italy DAY 8: FLORENCE-PADUA-VENICE Today, after breakfast, we depart Florence for Venice making a stop in Padua. Then we will continue on to Venice to check into our hotel. After that, we will be transferred to the Tronchetto (an artificial island in the Venetian Lagoon), to take the Vaporetto (a water bus) to San Marcos
Square. In the afternoon we will go on an excursion to the island of Murano, renowned for its long tradition of glass-making. We ll also visit Burano, known for its brightly colored fishermen's houses. Boat ride back on the Vaporetto to the Tronchetto and then bus to our hotel. Dinner with in a local restaurant. Overnight in Venice. DAY 9: VENICE Today, after breakfast, they ll take us to the Tronchetto again to take the Vaporetto to San Marcos. The day is at leisure to visit Venice on foot to admire the Piazza di San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale (the palace of the Doge, the political leader of the Republic of Venice). Venice is known as The Queen of the Adriatic. Its unique position, the grace of her buildings, the changing colors, and not least the total absence of wheeled transport, make Venice the most charming and poetic city in the world. We should not miss the magnificent Byzantine Basilica of St. Mark with its golden mosaics from the Second Golden Age, which was built to honor the body of St. Mark brought from Alexandria in Egypt.
