Train departs at 10am. The hotel is located approximately 2.5km from the train station. Gold Service on the Indian Pacific is the preferred choice for passengers who are looking for extra space and comfort as you travel by rail through Australia. During the day the compact twin berth sleeper cabins offer a comfortable three seater lounge, converting to an upper and lower sleeping berth at night. Swap stories with other guests, watch the ever-changing view transform before your eyes and get ready for your first off train excursion in the wild west town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Australia s largest regional town, with a long and fascinating history, there s plenty to see, learn and do. 02.12.19 Day 2 Cook & the Nullarbor Upon waking, set your sights on the vast horizon beyond the window. You have arrived on the edges of the sweeping Nullarbor Plain. Big blue skies await you, the ancient stillness of the desert landscape broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos or the occasional circling bird of prey. By the time you have refreshed and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, you will be stepping off the train for a short stop in Cook. Once a bustling railway community, now effectively a ghost town, Cook gives new meaning to the expression middle of nowhere. Get a sense of the Nullarbor s intense remoteness as you wander through Cook s abandoned buildings and learn more about the town s intriguing history. 03.12.19 Day 3 Adelaide & Broken Hill By mornings light, your desert views have made way for the rolling South Australian countryside. Arriving in Adelaide, prepare yourself for an entertaining stop in a beautifully designed city renowned for international arts festivals, pop-up bars and laneway restaurants. Feast upon the sights, scents and tastes of the extraordinary Adelaide Central Market, a mecca for locally-grown produce, multicultural treats and unexpected gourmet delights. Listen to the cheerful calls of the market stall holders and let your gaze wander from the delicious cured meats hanging in the delicatessens to the bright pyramids of carefully arranged fruits and the sweet scented goods on display in the bakeries and confectioners. Alternatively, board a coach for a highlights tour of Adelaide taking in views of the world-renowned Adelaide Oval from Montefiore Hill and stopping in at the popular Haighs Chocolate Factory. Venture into the Adelaide Hills for an unrivalled panorama from Mt Lofty Lookout before heading back to the train. Over lunch, watch as pastures dissolve into tough mallee scrub on approach to Broken Hill. Known as the Silver City, Broken Hill is one of Australia s legendary Outback bases defined by its wide streets, country pubs and ties with the Royal Flying Doctors Service and School of the Air. Here, you can visit the late Pro Hart s art studio or head for the Miners Memorial where the stark reality of working in Broken Hill s mines over the ages is writ large. The striking architectural edifice and spectacular view over the city add emotional weight to the list of more than 800 miners who lost their lives on the job.

23.11.19 (B/L) Day 4 - Sydney Wake up and enjoy breakfast as you wind your way into the heart of the magnificent Blue Mountains. Arriving at Mount Victoria station, you have the option to disembark and explore the World Heritage listed national park. Your first stop is Scenic World, offering a range of experiences for nature lovers, bushwalkers and thrill-seekers. Strap yourself in for an adrenalin-fuelling ride on the steepest-incline railway in the world before catching your breath and journeying back to the top of the mountain in a cable car. Take in the panoramic views of the three Sisters from within the Skyway and further immerse yourself in the scenic Jamison Valley. After all this excitement and mountain air, you will no doubt have worked up an appetite. Drive on to The Lookout Restaurant where you will enjoy lunch with award-winning beers and wines, not to mention more picturesque views. From Katoomba, board a privately chartered train and be whisked away to Sydney Central Station where your journey comes to an end. The train arrives into Sydney at 3.15pm this afternoon.

Conditions for the Sun Princess & Indian Pacific Singapore to Sydney via Perth Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $2,300 per person is payable within 3 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 14 weeks prior to departure. Macleay Valley Travel often has to adhere to strict payment deadlines and your booking on the tour may be cancelled if final payment is not received by the due date, with no refund applicable. Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline. Airline Tickets - Please note that any changes made to airline tickets once they have been issued will likely incur high cancellation and/or reissue fees. These fees are typically set by the airline and are outside of our control. Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired. Macleay Valley Travel offers Suresave Travel Insurance. Please note that we can only process your travel insurance when we have received full payment for the insurance and the signed Suresave Travel Insurance application form, located on the last page of the Suresave Travel Insurance information booklet. Until this time the travel insurance cannot be processed and will not be valid. Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non- Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. A visa is required for Vietnam and is obtained on arrival at a current cost of USD $56 per person. A passport size photograph or copy of the front page of your passport is required. Basic Price and Taxes - Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic price if the package is paid in full on or before the due date on the final invoice. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to charge for any increase in air taxes and fuel levies if the package is not paid in full by the due date. Not Included in the Cost - All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), travel insurance etc. and airport transfers. Similarly, credit card payments (Visa/MasterCard) can only be accepted if 1% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies. There is a 2% surcharge for American Express. Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this program. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service.
