President John and Eileen Frerking welcome you to the 2018 Region 3 Rally and Ocean Lakes Campground, Myrtle Beach, SC! Here you will find an array of activities designed to entertain all ages. Attend the seminars and all that is planned to make your time here worthwhile. Make some new friends and renew old ones. Sit back and relax, walk to the beach, and become a kid again, enjoy the new waterpark or head out and get about town to see some beautiful places! The schedule allows for each afternoon to be free to choose your own activities. We are also hosting the first Caravan Training Program by Jay Thompson, our national caravan chairman. Utilizing mainly video training segments, this four-hour program can lead to your becoming a caravan leader in WBCCI. See page 5 for the Caravan Leaders Training information. Thanks to Eileen Frerking for designing the rally booklet and decorations. Thank you to Judy Hudson and staff here at the campground for their help. The Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy s demonstration flight team are presenting a show at the Myrtle Beach Airport on April 29-30, 2018! CARAVAN LEADERS TRAINING Jay Thompson, National Caravan Chairman Thursday, 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. (Place: special room off the Recreation Hall) This seminar is open to all who are considering becoming a caravan leader or who are interested in exploring the idea further. Caravanning is the foundation of our club s activities to explore with fellow Airstreamers the majestic sights of the U.S. and Canada and beyond! ENTERTAINERS ALL THAT CLOGGING GROUP - consists of Mike Curtis, Harrison Barnes, Delohn Collins, Brad Berry, Mark Clifford, Brian Staggs, Joel Harrison, Drake Elkin, and Ethan Stewart. In 1999, four of the guys came together to form the performance group, ALL THAT!,They are considered the best male cloggers/percussive dancers in the world! They have performed in the U.S. as well as around the world. They have several TV credits. and were also featured performers in the 87th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They have performed in Vegas and were featured on PEPSI s Mountain Dew can. They have received the Pioneer Award (the highest award) in clogging. Each dancer in ALL THAT! has been blessed with an incredible talent and believes in giving back and helping those in need. Currently the boys are being featured in two shows in Myrtle Beach, SC; THE CAROLINA OPRY and GOOD VIBRATIONS. CDs are available. JACOBITES BY NAME - Cousins George and Nathan James have been playing music for a long time, and finally decided to play together in the summer of 2012. Nathan plays whistles and sings, and George plays guitar and sings. The duo is known for authentic renditions of traditional Celtic tunes and warm harmonies. They recorded their first album, called The Jacobites By Name, in October, 2015. That album is now available for purchase and will be available for download on January 23, 2016! Use your favorite music site, such as itunes or Amazon mp3 and download the album! JACQUELINE T. MOORE - Some people called me a snowbird because I spent a lot of time in both Ohio and South Carolina. Not so. I was returning to my deep-seated roots. Now, as a full-time resident of the Palmetto State, I am a certified beach bum! As a writer and an educator, my entire life has been surrounded by words.
