Quakertown Breakfast hosted by Ed & Kathy Benner. Twenty four Retreads and three guests came out for breakfast on a cold morning. By the end of breakfast we had 26 Retreads and only one guest. A big welcome to Ronald and Barbara Linderman who became members during breakfast. The one guest was Pappy's Granddaughter Lexie. No one arrived at breakfast on a bike. Among the other business discussed by Nancy was a Let's Meet for Dinner arranged by her and Bill. Kathy helped me sell 50/50 tickets and Lexie picked out the winning ticket. David Gill was the lucky winner. Thanks, - Ed and Kathy Benner 2 nd Saturday. McAlisterville Breakfast hosted by Rich & Betsy Tressler. Breakfast resumes March 10 3rd Saturday Shartlesville Breakfast hosted by Bill & Nancy Lingenfelter. The weather wasn t terrible for February even though there was a storm predicted to start later that evening and so we had a great turnout. There were 37 Retreads in attendance. Thanks to Art Grantz for helping Bill sell the 50/50 tickets, the winner was Charlie Boyer. Thank you all for coming out on such a cold morning! - - Bill & Nancy 4 th Sunday most months Lancaster Breakfast hosted by Art Grantz 40 Retreads came out to Golden Corral on a cold wet Sunday morning for breakfast and fellowship. Needless to say there were no motorcycles in the parking lot. It was great to have former Retreads Rick and Robin Bowman join us for breakfast. Our other guests were Norma and Pat Diffenball, guests of Ralph and Joyce Moyer, ad Doris Dohl, Terry s mom. Terry is doing well after his surgery and dog bite and he won the 50/50. Next month we will return to Hershey Farm, with no price increase for 2018. I hope to see you there. - Art Winter Banquet There were 108 people registered for this year s mid-winter banquet, but due to illness there were 103 in attendance. We hope by now the members that were ill are recovering. As usual Yoder s did a great job and we received many comments about the delicious food. We want to thank Art Grantz for helping us to make sure that nothing was forgotten, also Greg, Diane, Jason & David Gill for making and donating the candy boxes that were on the tables as well as the guessing jars, and for doing the registration. We also want to thank the Benner s and Lee Krause for selling the 50/50 and the 4 Diamonds raffle tickets and also taking care of the door prizes. We especially want to thank Jane Connelly for donating the entertainment, everyone loved them! The winners of the 50/50 were Jim & Charlene Anspach and they were also the winners of the guessing jars, that s the first time we can ever remember where a married couple each won 1 of the jars! Congratulations! We presented Art Grantz with a framed certificate, a card (thanks to my helpers, Diane & David Gill & Jane Frank for helping to sneak around and get signatures) and a Panera bread gift card from the Eastern Pa Retreads for his 8 years serving as the Rep. and continuing to help us as well as being the Mid-Atlantic Regional Rep. and being on the Board of Directors. Continued on next page

He has and continues to give much of himself for the Retreads. But we really want to thank all of you who attended because without your attendance the event would be a failure. You make it worth the effort to plan these events. Bill & Nancy Lingenfelter From Your Reps We want to make you all aware that we will be having our home phone disconnected by the time you receive this newsletter. Our cellphone # s are as follows: Bill, 610-914-8185 and Nancy, 610-914-8124. You ll be able to find our address and phone number as usual on the top of the newsletter. If you call and don t get an answer, please leave a message. - Bill & Nancy Picnic Committee We had our first meeting of the picnic committee after the Shartlesville breakfast and we were amazed and so appreciative with the turnout of volunteers we had. There are approximately 12 volunteers not including all their spouses and family members. I think you can expect good things from this group. Anyone that wants to be involved but couldn t attend just send us and email or call us, or let us know when we see you at breakfast. Thanks again for the great response! - Bill & Nancy New AMA reporting procedures Our Retreads rallies are sanctioned by The American Motorcyclist Association and we obtain liability insurance through them. They have instituted new reporting procedures this year. They are asking all rally organizers for the AMA numbers of any AMA members who attend their rallies. I was made aware of this change after I finalized the rally flyer so the flyer does not ask for your number. If you are an AMA member would you please write your AMA number somewhere on the registration form. If you already registered please send me your AMA number. This is strictly voluntary.
