AVON SUITE The Avon Suite offers a well-proportioned space that can suit a variety of events. It provides an excellent venue for meetings, presentations and exhibitions, and is also suitable for receptions and private dinners. The Suite can be partitioned to provide two conference rooms, the Avon and Test Conference Rooms. 4

MEON SUITE The Meon Suite is located next to the Solent Lecture Theatre and is the ideal space to host a reception. It also provides a great venue for meetings and presentations. The Suite is partitioned and can provide two rooms, the Meon and Hamble Conference Rooms. 6

SOLENT LECTURE THEATRE Air conditioned for comfort, our modern tiered lecture theatre seats 174 delegates and is fully equipped with a high standard of audio visual facilities. We also have a second lecture theatre, the Itchen Lecture Theatre, which has a capacity of 192 and is available to hire on evenings, weekends and outside of term time. 8

SOLENT SHOWCASE Solent Showcase is an exciting space for exhibiting contemporary visual art. It showcases not just the creative talents of the University but also those of external artists and groups. The space was created to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation, highlighting contemporary ideas and seeking to engage the widest possible audience. The gallery is an ideal space to host receptions for up to 60 people. Please contact the conference and events team for more details. 10

AUDIO VISUAL We are able to offer a wide range of audio visual facilities to our customers and have a dedicated team on hand to provide technical assistance. All of the rooms and lecture theatres within the Conference Centre have data projectors installed, with a computer workstation/lectern from which to operate it. This system is easy to use and simple to adapt should you wish to present directly from a laptop, USB, CD or DVD. Internet access is available on the computers and Wi-fi is available for all delegates**. All audio visual equipment is included in the day and 24-hour delegate rates and is supplied with full technical assistance*. * Technical assistance is included in normal office hours: Monday- Thursday 08:30 17:00 and Friday 08:30 16:30. Support outside of these hours can be arranged for an additional charge. **Must be booked in advance. If you have any specific requirements please let us know. As a university, we have access to a wide range of AV solutions and conference equipment. We have a live feed facility linking the lecture theatres, enabling delegates to drop-in and out of a presentation without disturbing the presentation itself. 12

DAY DELEGATE PACKAGE Southampton Solent University Conference Centre is superbly equipped to cater for all of your conference needs and offers a competitively priced day delegate package, which includes: Main meeting room hire PC, data projector and screen Flip chart and stand Pads and pencils Technical assistance* Wi-Fi** Mineral water, cordials and sweets Refreshments on arrival Mid-morning refreshments Finger buffet lunch Afternoon refreshments * Technical assistance is included in normal office hours: Monday-Thursday 08:30 17:00 and Friday 08:30 16:30. ACCOMMODATION Through excellent relationships with local, partner hotels we are able to handle all of your accommodation needs and offer competitive 24-hour delegate rates. Summer Accommodation In the summer months we can provide great value accommodation in one of our purpose-built student residences, many of which incorporate en-suite, kitchen and laundry facilities. We are able to offer accommodation in the residences for up to 2,300 delegates and all residences are just a short walk from the Conference Centre. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. 14

EVENT MANAGEMENT SERVICE Our experience in organising events means that we can easily perform a range of services on your behalf. These include: Setting up a conference micro site website Taking control of all delegate booking activity using interactive online forms and the administration and invoicing of your delegates Throughout organising your conference we would work alongside you through regular meetings to ensure that you are completely happy with every aspect of your event.
