2018 TRIP GUIDE
ABOUT US OUR TRIPS TAKE IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND WILD CORNERS OF MANITOBA We re a Manitoba travel company founded to help people enjoy unique travel experiences and opportunities. We were founded on the principle that wilderness travel should be available to everyone. Our goal is to make your trip as fun, adventurous, and enjoyable as possible. Our trips take in the most beautiful and wild corners of Manitoba. We travel by canoe through the pristine lakes and wilderness of this province. All of our campsites are only accessible by canoe. No roads, no motorboat access. Just pure, untouched backcountry. You can leave your alarm at home, because here you go to bed when the fire starts to die out, and wake up with the sun. When you join us on a trip, we take care of everything. You bring your clothes, personal items, and passion for the outdoors.
WHERE WE GO Nopiming comes from the Anishinaabe word noopiming, and translates as Entrance to the Wilderness. As soon as you dip your paddle into the first lake you ll understand why. 2.5 hours north of Winnipeg, the road turns to gravel as you enter the park and from there you enter into nearly 1500 square kilometres of wild lakes, forests and marshes. Rocky outcrops, formed 2.5 billion years ago, provide viewing points over the landscape, and a chance to look out for some of the wildlife that calls the park home. The park is home to Manitoba s southern-most herd of Woodland Caribou, as well as many other animals such as moose, beaver, otters, and eagles. ENTRANCE TO THE WILDERNESS NOPIMING TRIPS We offer two regular trips in Nopiming park. The Bird River trip is a 3 night excursion on the bird river that takes in all that Nopiming park has to offer. Glide through serene, meandering rivers, and paddle across wide open lakes. This trip is for the adventurer in all of us. The Seagrim Lake trip is a 2 night trip that offers a fantastic introduction to the world of canoe camping. We paddle through a chain of small lakes and camp at some of the most beautiful sites in the park
WHITESHELL Whiteshell provincial park is a playground of natural beauty and wilderness adventure for people from across Manitoba. The park is located just south of Nopiming Park and is home to similar boreal shield landscapes, with a rich history. Ancient petroforms show evidence of thousands of years of anishnaabe settlement in the area. If you want to explore classic Canadian wilderness, the whiteshell is a great place to start. Join us on our 4 night intermediate canoe adventure through the wilds of Manitoba s Whiteshell region. This route explores the incredible Whiteshell River which winds through the gorgeous Canadian Shield landscape, dipping in and out of lakes untouched by cabins or boats. Experience an exhilarating journey downstream on one of Manitoba s most beautiful rivers.
MANIGOTAGAN The Manigotagan River starts in the Northern reaches of Nopiming park, and travels over 100km s from there to it s mouth on Lake Winnipeg. The River passes through pristine boreal forest and marshlands. The river has supported human populations going back at least 6000 years, and at the beginning of the 20th century, it was used as a transport route to the gold mines around Bissett and the area that is now Nopiming. There are 32 rapids along the river, many of them passable in canoe, exactly how many being dependant on skill and water levels. The Manigotagan River trip crosses western Manitoba from the northern reach of Nopiming Park, to the river s mouth at Lake Winnipeg. The length of the river is protected as a provincial park, and it s banks are home to abundant wildlife and pristine boreal forest. The Manigotagan River trip is an advanced trip for paddlers who are already skilled in a canoe and comfortable in a camp environment. The route involves whitewater canoeing in class I and II rapids.

REVIEWS EASILY ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES I VE HAD OUTDOORS IN CANADA
My 3 day trip in the Seagrim Lake chain with Twin River Travel was easily one of the best experiences I ve had outdoors in Canada. Liam, our guide, was hilarious, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. The food was wonderful and the trip was entirely stress-free because all the necessary gear is provided. All you need to bring are your clothes. You should probably also bring a camera because the scenery is stunning. -Riley Black There s something so beautiful to be said about camping right on the edge of an island, nothing but the sounds of the birds in the trees and the water lapping at the rocks below. There are no humming motors of RVs, no selfie sticks, and no shower queues. The best bath in the world is right outside, anyway. Bonus: there are little wild blueberries growing along the shore in case you need a mid-swim snack. - www.bemytravelmuse.com
