Dragon s Lair Summer Day Camp Frequently Asked Questions: When should I drop off and pick up my child? Camp begins promptly at 12 pm each day. You are welcome to drop off your child as early as 11:30 am. We ask that you not plan to drop them off before that time because our camp counselors will be busy setting up for the day. Camp ends each day at 5 pm. Please plan to pick-up your child by 5:15 pm. If you will be running late or need to make arrangements for a late pick-up please notify the camp counselors when you drop off your child in the morning. If you are running late due to unforeseen circumstances, please give us a call at (512) 454-2399 and ask to speak to a camp counselor. Will snacks be provided during the day? Due to various food allergies we will provide water to the campers throughout the day. Any other snacks or drinks should be sent with the camper each day in a labeled brown paper bag. We will have a small reserve of snacks on hand for campers who forget to bring items with them but selection and quantity will be limited. Campers will be given at least two snack breaks during the day to enjoy the items they bring. For ease of use we ask that snacks are items that do not require refrigeration if at all possible. If you have a camper with special dietary restrictions please indicate this on the information sheet so that in the event we need to give them a snack from our reserve we are aware. What does my child get to keep from the camp? Through the course of each camp, the camper will receive materials to use that will belong to them at the end of the week. From day to day, we will ask the campers to turn in their supplies so we can make sure each camper has what they need to complete tasks. All supplies will be clearly labeled with each campers name and returned to them, as needed, at the beginning of each day. At the end of the camp the campers will be able to take home all of their items. We ask that only items given to them as part of the camp be checked in and that no items be brought from home outside of snacks and other needed items. What happens if I need someone to pick up my child who is not on the form I filled out? For safety reasons we will only release a camper to the persons on the camper information sheet. If you think there is a possibility that you may need more than one additional person please let us know and you can add up two extra authorized persons.

What happens in the event of a medical emergency? In the event of a medical emergency that requires attention beyond that of first-aid care we will take your child to the nearest appropriate medical facility. You will be contacted at your primary and secondary numbers as listed on the information sheet. If you are not able to be reached we will then contact the secondary contact. The medical waiver form you signed gives us consent to have your child cared for during a medical emergency. Any costs or medical decisions beyond consent for care will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian as indicated on the medical waiver form. What happens if my child violates the Dragon s Lair Summer Day Camp Code of Conduct? Campers that violate the Code of Conduct will be given two warnings. After the second warning the camper will removed for the camp until which time their parent/guardian can come and pick them up from the camp for the day. If the violation is severe or persists beyond the second warning the camper may be removed from the camp permanently at the discretion of the camp director. No refunds are available for campers who are removed from the camp due to a violation of the Code of Conduct. What is your refund policy? Dragon s Lair will only refund the cost of a camp if we are notified in writing at least 10 days before the start of the camp. Refund requests after the 10 day grace period will be at the discretion of the camp director. If you have any other questions that have not been covered here please feel free to give us a call or email our events team at dlaevents@dlair.net.
