General cleaning in the Arctic The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia has drawn up a road map for large-scale "general cleaning" in the Arctic, scheduled for 2017-2019. A total of 102 sites have been identified in the Arctic zone, where waste is required to be disposed of since the region was developed by the Soviet Union. For these purposes it is planned to allocate 1.7 billion rubles (about $ 30 million) only in 2017 12
