Enjoy dinner this evening in the Borromaeus Restaurants in your hotel restaurant Overnight in Vienna. DAY 3 8.00am A substantial buffet breakfast will be served each morning in your hotel restaurant. This buffet will consist of hot and cold items including, fruit, cereals, pastries, hams, cheeses, eggs and bacon as well as coffee, fruit juices and water. 9.00am This morning depart from your hotel for a guided tour around Vienna, taking you around the famous Ringstrasse, with its magnificent buildings and notable attractions including the Winter Residence of the Habsburgs, the National Museums, the Parliament, the Burgtheatre, the University, the Votivkirche and the beautiful Karlskirche. 12.00pm Start a guided tour around Schoenbrunn Palace, one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in Austria. The history of the palace and its vast gardens spans over 300 years, reflecting the changing tastes and interests of successive Habsburg monarchs. The Palace is Baroque in style with 1,141 rooms including the magnificent apartments of Maria Theresa as well as the parlours and apartments of Imperial couple Franz Joseph and Sisi. Independent lunch in the Vienna Naschmarkt, Vienna s best-known market with around 120 market stands and restaurants offering lots of different foods ranging including, Viennese, Italian, Thai, Indiana and Japanese. 3.00pm This afternoon Marching Band performance through the street of downtown Vienna including stops in Stephansplatz, the pedestrian square where St. Stephens Cathedral is located and Michaelerplatz, dominated by the impressive neo-baroque Michaelertor entrance gate to the Hofburg and the Roman and medieval remains in the centre of the square. 5.00pm This evening enjoy dinner at The Augustinerkeller, one of the last ancient monastery cellars in Vienna s historic city center. The splendid ancient vaulting of the cellar has been well preserved throughout the centuries and can still be seen. It was part of the former fortifications and only in 1924 it was changed into a restaurant. 3

7.00pm Performance rehearsal in the Peterskirche. 8.00pm Orchestra concert in the Peterskirche, the second-oldest church in Vienna and the city s finest example of Baroque church architecture. Peterskirche is thought to occupy the oldest Christian sacred site in Vienna, as a church has stood on this site since the second half of the 4th century. According to legend, Charlemagne founded a larger church here in 792. DAY 4 7.00am Breakfast is served in 8.30am This morning depart by coach from your hotel 9.00am Start a guided tour of the Hofburg Palace, the former imperial palace located in Heldenplatz (Heroes Square) in the centre of Vienna and built in the 13th century. The palace has been the seat of power of the Habsburg dynasty rulers, and today is the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria. 11.30am Take a guided tour of the Vienna State Opera House where you will be taken behind the scenes of the theatre and hear many interesting facts about the building s history and architecture. You will see everything from the foyer and great staircase to the state rooms Tea Salon, Marble Hall, Schwind Foyer, Gustav Mahler Hall as well as the auditorium and stage Independent lunch in the centre of Vienna. 2.00pm Performance rehearsal in the Peterskirche. 4

3.00pm Choir concert as part of the Organ Concert in the Peterskirche. This afternoon has been left free for independent shopping and sightseeing in the centre of Vienna. 7.00pm This evening enjoy dinner in the traditional Viennese restaurant the Salm Braeu, located next to the Belvedere Palace and Garden and the former site of a convent and monastery. Overnight in Vienna. DAY 5 7.00am Breakfast is served in 8.00am This morning depart from your hotel by coach to Prague. You will stopping en route for lunch and sightseeing in Cesky Krumlov a small city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. 12.00pm Arrive in Cesky Krumlov. 12.00pm Start a guided tour around the picturesque UNESCO World Heritage city of Cesky Krumlov where you will have the chance to see the Old Town Square with its Renaissance and Baroque architecture, including the Renaissance Town Hall and Baroque theatre as well as the stunning castle and chateau complex above the Vltava River. 1.00pm Lunch at leisure. 3.30pm Continue on by coach to your hotel in Prague, NH Prague City Hotel. 6.30pm Arrive at your hotel in Prague and check-in. 8.00pm A buffet dinner will be served in the Costa Praga Restaurant in your hotel this evening. Overnight in Prague. DAY 6 7.30am Breakfast is served in 9.00am This morning start a guided tour of Prague from the Castle District. You will have the chance to see the Prague Castle complex dating from the 9th century and the official office of the President of the Czech Republic formerly a seat of power for kings of Bohemia and Holy Roman emperors, the Charles Bridge built in 1357 and crossing the Vltava River and the Old Town square, locally known as Staromak Staromák, a historical square in Prague, in the heart of the old town quarter surrounded by Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo buildings historic buildings including its old town hall with the astronomical clock. Independent lunch in the centre of Prague. Lunch at leisure. 1.30pm Rehearsal for the choir performing in the concert his afternoon. 5

2.00pm Choir performance in the St Nicholas Church on Old Town Square The Church of St Nicholas is the most famous Baroque church in Prague. The main organ in the Church, built from 1745-47, has over 4,000 pipes as was played by Mozart during his stay in Prague as a guest of the Dušeks. 5.00pm Dinner this evening will be served at the Municipal House Restaurant, a beautiful Secession era restaurant located on the ground floor of Municipal House, Prague s most prominent Art Nouveau building built between 1906 and 1912 and situated on the site of the former Royal Court Palace, now a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue, in Prague. 7.00pm Rehearsal for the orchestra and choir members performing in the concert this evening. 8.00pm Orchestra and Choir performance in the Czech Museum of Music, Prague, located in the former Baroque church of St. Mary Magdalene, built in the 17th Century and now blending early Baroque church architecture with contemporary design. The Czech Museum of Music has a collection of around 700,000 items, documenting the history of music in the city and the wider world. Most extensive are the Music Notation Archive and the Recordings Library. But there are also collections of manuscripts, iconography, and press documentation, as well as materials from personal estates, libraries, the Musical Instruments Collection, and items from the two great Czech composers, Bedř ich Smetana and Antonín Dvoř ák. Return by coach to Overnight in Prague. 6

DAY 7 7.30am Breakfast is served in 8.30am Depart by coach from your hotel for Karlštejn Castle, located in the countryside approximately 20 miles southwest of Prague. 9.30am On arrival in Karlštejn make your way by foot up the hill to the Karlštejn Castle. 10.00am Commence a guided tour around Karlštejn Castle, built by Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV in 1348 as a place for safekeeping the royal treasures, especially Charles s collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. On the tour you will have the chance to visit the Courtier s Hall, the Hall of Knights, the chapel of St. Nicholas, the Chapter Deanery, the Royal Bedroom, the Audience and Banqueting Halls, the Hall of Ancestors, the Treasury and Jewels Hall, and the castle prison. 12.00pm Depart from Karlštejn by coach to Prague. Independent lunch in Prague This afternoon marching band performance in Prague. 4.00pm Marching Band performance starting at the Estates Theatre, one of the most beautiful historical theatre buildings in Europe showcasing opera, drama and ballet performances, and passing through the streets of Prague including performances in Wenceslas Square named after Saint Wenceslas the Patron saint of Bohemia and the centre of the business and cultural communities in Prague, and Old Town Square, the most famous and historical square in Prague. 4.00pm This remainder of this afternoon is free for independent sightseeing and shopping, 7.30pm Enjoy dinner this evening with fold music and dancing at the Strahov Monastery Restaurant. The secondoldest monastery in Prague, Strahov was founded high above Malá Strana in 1143 by Vladislav II. It s still home to Premonstratensian monks and Monastery houses the Church of Our Lady the very church where Mozart played the organ on his visit to the monastery in 1787. Return by coach to your hotel after dinner. Overnight in Prague. DAY 8 7.30am Breakfast is served in Transfer to Vienna airport for your flight home. 7
