The natural beauty of Glenburn Lodge in Muldersdrift in the Cradle of Humankind, makes it the ideal setting for conferences, weddings, leisurely weekend getaways and lazy Sunday lunches. Nestled at the foot of the Zwartkops Mountains, Glenburn Lodge is perfectly positioned between the Blaauwbank and Crocodile Rivers which meet on the property.
The three star Glenburn Lodge offers a total of 100 bedrooms made up of timeshare chalets, standard hotel twin rooms, garden suites and hotel suites. All rooms either have a view of the Zwartkops Mountains or the river frontage.
The conference centre accommodates up to 600 delegates across nine conference venues. While Glenwillow, Glencove and Glenkyle can accommodate cinema style conferencing for between 60 and 250 guests, they are also very popular for gala dinners and product launches. A range of conference packages are available to suit your specific needs and budget. Delegates can look forward to tea and coffee breaks with sumptuous snacks which include cappuccinos and hot chocolate as a rule, and soup in winter. The aroma of popcorn in the conference centre all day long is a favourite with conference delegates. Standard conference equipment is included in the conference packages, while we can make arrangements for any special requirements the company may have. The magnificent teambuilding and sport conditioning facilities at Glenburn Lodge sets it aside from its competitors in the market. Dedicated teambuilding areas on the property include a sport field, an obstacle course, the Tower of Empowerment and guided nature walks along the river and mountain. The outdoor activities provide companies with the opportunity to build relationships within their teams by using sport metaphors.
Glenburn Lodge is famous for its lazy Sunday lunches where value for money and quality is key to the buffet feasts. Family and friends can relax in the Piazza, spending the afternoon listening to the soothing sounds of our live performer. Private dining for special occasions or Executives can be arranged in the Conservatory, Gallery and Wine Cellar. Lairds Bar and the adjacent pool room provide either pre - or post dinner relaxation. The drop down screen is ideal for sport enthusiasts wanting to stay up to date with the latest big sport events. GlenPalms is a bright and airy, family-friendly facility overlooking scenic green gardens and two swimming pools as well as a games room. The venue and children s playground is open Saturdays and Sundays for poolside meals and snacks between 10h00 18h00. Treat yourself to a bean-to-ground coffee, sundowners from the Cocktail Menu or a brilliant bar lunch at the Terrace Restaurant.
Sharing a private game reserve with the adjacent Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa, Glenburn Lodge has nature walks for those who merely want a relaxing stroll, or fitness enthusiasts who are ready to conquer the Zwartkops Mountain. Bird-watching and fishing are welcome pastimes within the beautiful natural surroundings. Hot-air ballooning, game drives and visits to the Cradle of Humankind can be arranged. Spa treatments are available at the highly rated TheraVine Themed Spa situated at the entrance of Glenburn Lodge.
Glenburn Lodge has three wedding venues with guest capacities ranging between 60 and 250 guests. Glenkyle, on the banks of the Blaauwbank River, is our largest wedding venue and accommodates up to 250 guests. With views over a waterfall, landscaped gardens and water features, it s a favourite with wedding photographers. Glenkyle features an open-sided, thatched chapel seating up to 200 guests. Glencove is nestled on the Crocodile River in a beautiful country garden setting. With its open-sided gazebo-style chapel, lovely landscaped gardens and thatched reception area, Glencove seats from 80-120 guests, if a dance floor is included. Glenwillow, situated in the Bush Willow Tented Camp, offers a fun-filled African alternative for weddings. This venue, situated at the foot of the Zwartkops Mountains and next to the Blaauwbank River, accommodates up to 60 guests. Our banqueting team and dedicated wedding co-ordinators are available to work closely with you to ensure that all arrangements are in accordance with your wishes.
