Guidelines for using Public Transport When using public transport please plan ahead and ensure you allow sufficient travel time to reach your point of destination and in case you miss your trip. Ensure you arrive at the train station or tram/bus stop 5 minutes before departure of the service. During the AM peak period 7:30am -9am public transport services experience heavy loadings, particularly travelling into the City. If travelling into the City during these times on buses & trams please travel in small groups of 20-25 people. During the PM peak 4:30pm 6pm public transport services experience heavy loadings, particularly travelling out of the City. If travelling out of the City during these times on buses or trams please travel in small groups of 20-25 people. If buses & tram services are at full capacity, the driver will request passengers waiting at stops to wait for the next service. To travel on train, tram and buses please display accreditations passes for free travel. To enter and exit Adelaide Railway Station platforms please pass through the wheelchair and pram barriers gates. When travelling on trains please check information screens or ask customer service staff daily for the platform numbers the train departs from, as this may change from day to day, due to works within the railway station. Train services have the capacity to carry larger groups particularly early morning and evening services against the peak flow allowing Pacific School games participants to travel in larger groups of up 300 people. 3
