He extended warm welcome to all members of IAOH. Two minute silence was observed to mourn the sad demise of Late Dr Raghavendra Deolalikar (Mumbai Branch), Late Dr Manohar Santwani (Jamnagar Branch), Late Dr Mangalam Rathod (Ahmedabad Branch) and Late Dr Ashok Kanodia (Ahmedabad Branch). To confirm the minutes of 66 th Annual General Body Meeting held on 19.02.2016 at The Convention Centre, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. a) Dr.Chaitanya Gulvady s name was missed in the participants list - Included b) The branch name was wrongly mentioned as Bengaluru instead of Karnataka against the name of the respective participants - Corrected After deliberations the minutes of 66 th AGM held at NIMHANS, Bengaluru on 19.02.2016 are passed, subject to the above corrections. To receive and adopt the annual report of the Honorary General Secretary for the year 2016. Passed unanimously with an objection that there was no elaboration about the Journal activity during the inaugural function speech as mentioned by Dr.G.K.Kulkarni. Dr.G.V.Prabhu informed that Secretary s Report is published in OCCUCON-2017 Souvenir, wherein, the activities of the Journal are appropriately elaborated. However, it is assured that such things will be taken care henceforth. Proposed by Dr.Shyam Pingle Seconded by Dr.Rajiv Kumar Jain 4. To receive and ratify the audited accounts with the auditor s report for the financial year 2015-16. a) Dr.Sarangadharan, Treasurer, IAOH(I) presented the audited financial accounts. Copies were distributed to all the members. As per Income & Expenditure Account for the year ended 31.03.2016, Excess of income over expenditure is Rs.4,27,909.00 b) Dr.Rajiv Kumar Jain brought to the notice that an amount of Rs.6.30 lakhs lying in the Savings Account and advised to invest in Flexi Account for fetching higher rate of interest. Dr.R.Rajesh, Sr.Vice President, IAOH(I) explained the reason that due to technical problem with the bank (Andhra Bank), the said amount could not be fixed. However, he assured that the amount will be invested in Flexi Account in a bank where the rate of interest is high if possible. Page 4 of 9

c) It was decided to transfer the Syndicate Bank, Bengaluru account (which was operated for organizing OCCUCON-2016) to Andhra Bank, Mumbai account. Dr. Prabhu said that eventually the Goa Branch account will be closed down which was opened for the IAOH Goa Conference hosted by the Centre in 2014. d) Dr.Rajiv Kumar Jain elaborated on the service tax issue. Dr Shanbhag informed the General Body that henceforth, Service Tax will need to be collected, for which, Service Tax Number need to be generated. Dr. Pingle said that service tax has to be charged to all life membership fees henceforth. Treasurer is advised to note the same for further necessary action. e) The new life members of IAOH will be henceforth paying service tax over and above the prescribed fees / charges. Propose necessary constitutional amendments. f) Dr. SM Shanbhag said that Change Report of Centre and all IAOH Branches will need to be filed annually once the new Office Bearers are elected. He explained that work is being done by IAOH Mumbai Branch members to get the Change Reports submitted to the Charity Commissioner Office in Mumbai and the submitted Bye-Laws approved by the Charity Commissioner. g) Dr.Sivaramakrishnan said that signatures on Change Report has to be taken from all past office bearers. h) Finally, it was decided that all the branches need to file Change Report before Charity Commissioner along with the approved Bye-Laws once the new office bearers are elected and also signatures on change report has to be taken from all the past office bearers of IAOH(I). To appoint auditors for the year 2017-18 a) Dr. Jain raised a query regarding change of statutory auditors once in every 5 years, which was discussed and was decided that there is no need to change the auditors. b) Dr. Sreenivasan stated that Auditor needs to be continued for 1 year. c) Dr.SM Shanbhag advised the Office Bearers to check with extreme caution whether auditors needs to be changed every 5 years. TN Branch CC members said that in IAOH TN Branch, auditors have confirmation that there is no such rule for changing Auditors every 5 years. d) It was informed that the decision will be taken after consulting the existing auditors. Dr.J.Vijay Rao, Hon Secretary had read the list of new Office bearers of IAOH(I) for the term 2017-19 who are elected unopposed and the same are ratified by AGM. 8. To consider resolutions, if any The following resolution was passed by AGM unanimously. It is hereby resolved that in future national conferences of IAOH, the organizers shall contribute 30% (20% for Centre and 10% for Journal) of delegate fees to the Centre for various central activities including IJOEM publication It will be implemented from OCCUCON-2018 onwards. To consider proposal for conducting the 68 th National Conference in the year 2018. a) In response to the request made by Hon. General Secretary, IAOH(I) inviting the nominations to host 68 th National Conference in 2018 vide email dated 04.10.2016, only Pune Branch had come forward to host the said conference. Dr.Arun Kale, President, Pune Branch made a presentation for hosting IAOH conference. b) Dr. Arun Kale accepted the directive of the CC and President to name the 68 th IAOH National Conference as OCCUCON 2018 being hosted by Pune Branch. All the members while applauding Pune Branch, confirmed that OCCUCON is a great brand for Indian Association of Occupational Health Conference. The OCCUCON web domain is registered. Approval of the general body was sought to brand all future IAOH National Conferences as OCCUCON and the term for Pre-Conference Development Courses PDC will be used in all future National Conferences of IAOH. c) IAOH Jamnagar Branch offered to host the Conference in 2019. This offer has been noted and decision in the matter will be taken up during 2nd CCM. Proposed by Dr. M.V.Sreenivasan Seconded by Dr. Manu Saksena 11. To consider any other subject with the permission of the chair. a) Dr.S.M.Shanbagh appreciated the work done by Executive Committee as well as AEOHD (Delhi Branch) members for making the conference a grand success. b) Dr.G.K.Kulkarni applauded for organizing the conference successfully and bringing the Government Officials, Policy Makers and Stakeholders on the same platform for making awareness, exchange of ideas, sharing of experience and creating new and innovative thoughts to integrate Occupational Safety and Environment concerned issues for the improvement of India s workplaces. c) Dr.Shyam Pingle congratulated AEOHD Delhi team in general and the scientific committee team in particular for organizing OCCUCON-2017 successfully and the deliberations in the form of Orations, Symposia, Guest Lectures, Key Note Addresses, Scientific paper presentations and discussions supplemented by Professional Development Courses, are not only relevant to the participants but also encouraged them to initiate effective interventions to improve Occupational Health and Safety at the Workplaces. Investiture of the incoming President and Council. a) The outgoing President Dr.G.V.Prabhu in his address thanked the senior members of the IAOH for their whole hearted support & cooperation during his tenure. He further stated that without their support and advise, the initiatives such as the BOHS modules, continuation of the OSHEN newsletter, MFOM initiatives. b) The important landmark in the history of IAOH is entering MOU with DGFASLI in the presence of Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in charge of Labour and Employment and in the presence of Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment. On behalf of his entire team, he expressed appreciation of the efforts & support given by all members of the IAOH. Need of the hour is an action-focused legislative and pragmatic interventions to transform the existing state of OSH in the country both in the formal and informal sectors of economic activity through proactive approaches and implementation of the National Policy on Safety, Health and Environment at Workplace by all stake holders. Further, we need to strive towards connecting health and labour in order to bringing together occupational health and primary care to improve the health of working people. c) The outgoing President Dr.G.V.Prabhu announced the names of the new office bearers of IAOH & congratulated the newly elected President Dr.R.Rajesh and other office bearers. d) He then handed over the Silver Presidential Medal to the new President, Dr.R.Rajesh. e) Dr.R.Rajesh thanked all the IAOH(I) members and central council members for electing new office bearers unopposed for the period 2017-19. He complimented outgoing President and his team for their significant contributions and innovative initiatives. He assured the General Body that he would follow up with the activities initiated by Dr.G.V.Prabhu to greater heights. Dr.Rajesh mentioned that the main focus for the coming two years would be: Membership Drive, New Branches and Revival of few Branches - Increase membership - Revival of inactive branches - Formation of new branches Basic Occupational Health Services (BOHS) - Training to General practitioners of nearby areas - BOHS award to the branch for doing extraordinary work - MOU with govt. agencies ICOH Bid for 2024- start working on it Occupational Health project - Each branch should take one project in unorganised sector Digitization - Strengthening the database of IAOH complete members details should be available on website - Auto generated mail to office bearers after completion of online membership application - Direct central contribution through online transfer and notification of payment received, payment details etc - IAOH Mobile app- Digital platform Social activities - Blood donation camp/ Medical camp by each Branch Family get together of IAOH branch members - At least once in a year - Family members to be involved Page 8 of 9

Any other subject with the permission of the chair i) Dr.R.Rajesh, President, IAOH(I) thanked Dr.Sudha Ramachandran and her family members for framing the guidelines with respect to Dr.C.K.Ramchandar Centenary Awards. a) The Dr.C.K.Ramchandar Centenary Award for Lifetime achievement It will be awarded to an individual who during his/her lifetime has made outstanding contributions to the specialty of Occupational Health. The recipient will be honoured at the annual conference of IAOH. b) The Dr.C.K.Ramchandar Centenary Award - It will be awarded for best scientific presentations, both oral and poster individually, presented by medical students during the national conference. ii) Dr. SM Shanbhag Put on record the hard work done by Dr. Manu Sharma and Delhi team for hosting the 67th National Conference of IAOH at Delhi. iii) Dr.Rajesh had congratulated AEOHD team for making OCCUCON-2017 a grand success 14.
