GUEST PROFILES Pr Brett Towned Married to Rae with three adult kids; two girls and a boy, and one delightful granddaughter. Pursued his passion for horses professionally breaking-in and training horses of all types for Olympic representatives, campdrafters, dressage horses, and then trained polo horses for Australian representatives and international riders, including some of the wealthiest Australians. After a call to ministry continued to train horses as a hobby and loves to share how the gospel can be communicated through these magnificent animals. Pr Steve Piez is a musician, teacher, administrator and pastor. He was born in Rabaul, on the Island of New Britain and spent all of his childhood living in Papua New Guinea. Steve is a licensed plumber and spent 12 years in the building trade. During this time he developed a lasting interest in vegetable gardening, stone masonry and renovating 19th century cottages. Steve responded to the call to ministry and attended Avondale College as a mature age student. He subsequently completed postgraduate qualifications in education followed by a Master s degree with Honours specialising in Australian Indigenous history and the impact of Adventist missions in WA. After working a number of years as administrator of Karalundi Aboriginal Education Centre, Steve returned to his childhood home of Lae, Papua New Guinea, where he was employed as the national director of Seventh-day Adventist Schools. Since 2007 he has worked as the national director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministries. Steve enjoys teaching from the Bible. He is also an accomplished guitarist who has travelled extensively and has supported local and international artists such as Don Burrows, Reg Lindsay, Silverchair and Status Quo. Steve currently lives in Melbourne with his wife Kym, and has two daughters and two sons. Jeremy Taituave Jeremy lives in Wagga Wagga where he works as a ministerial intern, assisting the senior pastor in overseeing three churches and two groups. He married Sarina Williams in 2012 (not to be confused with the tennis player). They welcomed their baby girl Eva-May to this world last December. Jeremy has also been involved in the fitness industry as a personal trainer for 6 years, and is passionate about bringing both faith and fitness together. The devotions will be on the application of the 8 health laws in our lives. Friday Night Banquet On Friday night, we will have a special Sabbath banquet. There will be no additional cost to attendees to attend this however we do require you to place the numbers attending in the meal section above for catering purposes. The banquet will consist of a three-course meal, light music, and keynote speaker for the week Pr Brett Townend. Saturday Night Concert This year we want you to be involved as well as our guest musicians. If you would be willing to participate in some form please note below what area your talents lie. 6. Camp Information and Regulations In the interest of the safety, comfort and welfare of all campers, the following information and regulations will apply. Please read carefully and seek clarification (if required) before signing your application form, which represents your agreement to abide by all these regulations. A. ACCOMMODATION H. COMMUNAL KITCHEN Chalets and Bunkrooms. There is limited availability for this accommodation. Please note that there are no cooking facilities in the bunkrooms. B. ARRIVAL The Adventist Alpine Village is located at the end of Tinworth Drive (off Barry Way) Jindabyne NSW 2627, and is open for registration on the 2nd of October 2017. Everyone arriving must report to Registration. If you are arriving prior to the 2nd of October or departing after the 7 th of October, please make these arrangements with Stan Carter (Manager) or Russell Alsop (Assistant Manager) by phoning 02 6456 2738. C. FEES Camp attendance fees must be paid in full prior to arrival. A 75 attendance fee must be paid by each person attending but living off site. D. APPLICATIONS The Camp Administration reserves the right to accept or reject any application. No application will be accepted unless accompanied by full payment. E. FACILITIES The camping area facilities consist of 1 block of Female showers, 1 block of Female toilets, 1 block of Male showers, 1 block of Male toilets, 2 Unisex Disabled showers/toilets. Two coin operated washing machines (3 per load) 2 clothes lines. F. TELEPHONE There are no public phones on the site. The nearest public phones are in Jindabyne Village, 3 kilometers from Adventist Alpine Village. G. DINING ROOM To assist in the catering please complete meal order form. Any extra meal tickets can be purchased from registration office. A communal kitchen is located at the western end of the dormitories. This facility is available to all campers and includes 3 x prep area, wash up area, full size stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, indoor and outdoor dining areas. If you choose to use this area please be sure to clean after each and every use. I. BBQ Area A BBQ Area is located in adjacent to the camping area. All guests are welcome to use the area free of charge. If you choose to use this area please be sure to clean after each and every use. J. RUBBISH DISPOSAL It is every camper s responsibility to keep his or her campsite clean and tidy. Bins are located at central points around the campground. K. PETS If you require accommodation for your pets please contact Stan Carter (Manager) or Russell Alsop (Assistant Manager) prior to your arrival by phoning 02 6456 2738 L. WEATHER CONDITIONS Weather conditions in the Alps can change quickly. If you plan to bring a Caravan, Motor Home or Tent, please ensure that you also carry tie downs and anchor points. N.
