You'll have more than enough of adventures in the land of the rising sun. If you are planning to hike only Mt. Fuji and Mt. Takao, there is no need to bring camping equipment. Only a pack and warm clothing is required. On the other hand; you need camping system, camp kitchen, harness, crampons, and food in the Japanese Alps.
