WHAT TO EXPECT AT CAMP You will be met at the camp by a Caretaker, and given a check-in sheet and emergency information. Please have your Troop Roster, emailed with your confirmation information, with you. If you are staying in one of the all-season lodges (Hillwood or Dogwood) these buildings have A/C and heat and restroom/shower facilities in them. Both of these lodges have an outdoor fire pit with picnic tables and also an indoor kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pots and a stove. Dogwood also has an outdoor Cook Shelter with tables. If you are staying in outdoor cabins (recommended from March through October), there is no A/C or heat. Restroom facilities are co-located with the Unit. The cabins do have fans, power and electrical outlets. All of the outdoor units have a refrigerator in the Cook Shelter. Each cook shelter also has a fireplace in it. Items available for you to check out at camp include: Large water coolers, Cook Boxes (these include basic kitchen supplies, e.g. knives, pitchers, cookie trays, serving bowls, utensils, marshmallow sticks, measuring cups, etc.), and Dutch ovens. When you arrive let the person checking you in know what you need. If you know you want something prior to arrival, let Tonya Sails know ahead of time and we will move it to the cabin. There are some BBQ grills available at camp that we can move around if requested There is no ice available at Camp Trico unless the kitchen is rented No matter what unit you rent, have everyone bring a twin size fitted sheet to cover the mattresses Firewood is available at camp LEAVE A PLACE BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT!- Ensure the girls have cleaned up every room/cabin that was used, including the Cook Shelters and Bath houses and you sweep and mop the floors. If you have rented Halsey Lodge the floors and tables need to be cleaned as well. 14
