Recent Accomplishments - Runway Demolition of the BCAD Bunker occurred in August 2011. The 60% design package was prepared by Atkins for Runway 9R-27L and Associated Taxiway Paving, Lighting, Signage and Marking (Work Package (WP) 304) and submitted in July 2011. The 90% design package for the Site Preparation and NAVAIDS Infrastructure (WP 302) was submitted in August 2011. The 60% design package for Taxiways P&Q and Associated Hold Pad Paving, Lighting, Signage and Marking (WP 305) was submitted in July 2011. Negotiations for Design-Build services for the Runway Structure began in September 2011. Staff negotiated a contract for Runway Construction Project Management with Parsons Transportation Group. A Notice to Proceed was issued in September 2011. A Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) for Runway Quality Acceptance and Materials Testing (QAMT) services was advertised in September 2011. Staff submitted an application to the South Florida Water Management District for construction of the runway, and received conditional approval in August 2011. Staff submitted an application to the Army Corp of Engineers for wetland work, and expects to receive approval in September 2011. Staff continued with the development of agreements associated with the FEC Railroad and FDOT (Public Purpose Lease) necessary for construction of the runway and taxiway structures.
Recent Accomplishments Land Acquisition Broward County Real Properties, BCAD, and outside counsel are continuing with the property assessment to acquire the Hilton Hotel and Dania Boat Sales. Work continues to clear the titles of County owned properties east of old US 1 to 7 th Avenue. Planning discussions continue with Sheltair and the County regarding leasehold modifications and future development.

Recent Accomplishments Terminal 4 PGAL/Zyscovich s (PZ) submitted 100% Schematic Design plans in May 2011. PZ continued with Design Development (DD), and is on target to submit the DD plans for review on September 30, 2011. PZ submitted an Aircraft Layout Plan in September 2011. HDR completed preliminary design for the apron reconstruction (WP 404) around the T4 West Expansion. Staff also negotiated a Work Authorization to complete the apron design. Staff negotiated with EAC Consultants to provide design for the T4 West Fuel Hydrant System. EAC completed the 14-inch primary loop design for the T4 West Expansion phase. EAC Consultants submitted the conceptual designs for underground utility Modifications, and is continuing with the Preliminary Design of the Landside Improvements project (WP 406). Negotiations began with a selected T4 CPM in September 2011.
