My grandfather Robert Henry Bunner bought the business in 1892." your comments Nigel Roberts-Powis, Shrewsbury Thank goodness for Bunners. A delight to visit, to receive expert advice from most accomodating younger and older staff. Seeds purchased in spring, [soon to visit for these] are excellent croppers and for any do it yourself enthusiast / repairer the basement / cellar is certainly an Aladdin's cave - what cannot be found is not worth pursuing. Another absolute pleasure is being able to buy a single bolt and nut rather than being forced to buy a large packetful at 'biggernon-accommodating-stores'! Please, please continue trading as I do look forward to my half a dozen visits annually. Congratulations and also nice to read such positive and warming comments. Bunner's,Well, we called there last June, I wanted a pair of wire strippers, (of a certain type) but would you believe, Bunner's didn't have them. So I searched around where we live, found the details and posted the to Bunner's. That was weeks ago. On the 14 th of this month, at 3.30 pm my telephone rang with the news that my Wire Strippers were ready for posting, and did I still want them. Course I did was my reply, we'll send them off then Aladin said. Next morning th strippers fell through our letter box with attached invoice, less postage as a special discount. No need to fear...as long as Bunneer's are in Business. Mon Aug 18 09:42:48 2008 Robin Coombe Hi, can you get spares for echo strimers & do you supply starter cord? By the way my wife went to school with Mary and Ann (Pam Edwards)!! Thanks. Wed May 21 09:16:06 2008 Pat Morris from Monmouth Cannot resist taking friends here when in the area. Its fantastic. John has to hide my credit cards when I'm here otherwise I would buy the whole shop. Cute little petrol pump outside - its got the lot. Fri Jan 11 08:34:09 2008 Tony Parr - Isle of Wight Enjoyed living in for a couple of years, discovered Bunners almost as soon as we arrived as our Stanley needed servicing, such an enchanting shop, so many uses, spent many a happy moment shopping for anything from spares for our lawn mower to unique games for the kids, to kitchen paraphenalia. What I would like to know is how is the service engineer, - still playing cricket, or has his back got the better of him. - stumbled accross this site as I was contemplating putting a Stanley in our new house, - back on the Isle of Wight - would rather do business with Bunners, than anyone else - ps. downstairs is just as big a joy. Fri Dec 7 09:57:08 2007 Darryl, Wooohooo, I work here it is the best. Tue Nov 6 10:41:49 2007 Keith Faichney, Lancaster What a shop, what characters run it. It's the original Aladdins Cave only more so. Don't rub any lamp's. I'm sure the Yanks must deal with them for the odd, very small stainless steel screw they need from time to time at Cape Canaveral. Bunners will have it, I can hear them saying, get a mail off to them right away we need it in the morning. Where is it? where is it, it's in of course a little old spot known as Mongomery. Tue Jul 3 09:52:03 2007 Don Williamson Bunners has it all. when looking for, whatever, they always have it. Dont close it before my demise please. all the shops I ever knew were like this, before the monstrosities came. the service is here. love it.
