Lunch today will be a picnic lunch in a scenic spot. After lunch there is an option (own cost) to visit Fletcher s Mutiny Cyclorama. This is an unforgettable experience. This is one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world and is based on an art form made popular in the 1800's. Walk inside the circular painting and be surrounded by the immense artwork. A spectacular 3D effect is achieved in this painting with its detailed artwork and realistic perspective and the story that traces the history of the Bounty leaving England through Tahiti, Pitcairn Island and arrival at Norfolk Island in 1856. Dinner tonight is own arrangements. Wonderland by Night The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk pines and bushland lit up like an enchanted forest. Meander along (or ride in the 'moon buggy') a gentle winding path whilst a descendant of one of the Bounty mutineers recites poetry written by local poet Archie Bigg. The dioramas are lit up and the setting is magical. Day 3 Thursday 22 December 2016 (B, D) Behind the Hedges Tour/Colleen McCullough Tour/Island Fish Fry/Mutiny on the Bounty Behind the Hedges Tour Travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm, which has been instrumental in improving our local livestock industry. Close by see a demonstration at Norfolk's major pottery and browse at the Cottage Pottery shop. After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location, visit a beautiful private and commercial garden that supplies our local florists with stock. Finish the tour with a visit to a beautiful Banyan tree on a private property. Lunch today is own arrangements. The Colleen McCullough Home Tour World renowned author Colleen McCullough wrote 24 books. Her first novel "Tim" inspired a movie and actor Mel Gibson played the main role. Her second novel, "The Thorn Birds" has never been out of print and has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It has been translated into more than 20 languages. The world renowned author made Norfolk Island her home in 1979 and lived on Norfolk Island until her passing in 2015. Colleen created an amazing majestic home on Norfolk Island with her husband Ric Robinson. Ric and Colleen's home was never open to the public until her passing. This is an exclusive guided tour to the author's magnificent property. You will be escorted through Ric and Colleen's home and view some of their priceless collections from around the world. Greenfingers Tour A tour featuring some of the Island s loveliest gardens. Throughout the morning you will visit a nursery owned and operated by a young Norfolk Islander. You will also view the hydroponics. Later visit a gorgeous private garden with a spectacular view. Morning tea is served in a scenic location. Your visit to the winery will be directly after this tour. Two Chimneys Wine Tasting and Lunch Today transfer to Two Chimneys Wines Norfolk s only winery. The winery was established in 2002 and whilst the vines are maturing the family enjoy quality support of many in the wine industry and this is reflected in the wine produced under their own Two Chimneys Wines label. After your welcome and introductory talk enjoy a formal wine tasting from the premium wine range. Two Chimneys Wines are renowned for Noelene s Vineyard Platter. If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk you ll be picked up a little later and taken to join the walkers at Anson Bay as they return from their walk and where you ll all enjoy a delicious breakfast barbecue on the clifftop. In the grounds of a beautiful old island homestead stroll through the outbuildings, browse through the museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest, see the oldest working forge in the Pacific, look through an ex New Zealand Army hut with war-time memorabilia and watch an exclusive film of Norfolk Island interest. Join us at 12.00 to be transferred to the picturesque golf club where you can buy lunch (own expense) and enjoy the view before we head out to play 9 holes of golf. We will have some fun with prizes for various golfing feats. This golf day is intended to be fun for golfers, hackers and non-golfers alike. Option 2 Convict Settlement Tour. Day 8 Tuesday 27 December 2016 (B) Cheese Tour/Depart Norfolk Christian Brothers Cheese Tour Departing approximately 10:30am. Christian Brothers Cheese Company is a boutique dairy and cheese producer started by two island brothers Glen and John Christian. The two over two hours will take you through a local farm with beautiful ocean views where you ll meet the milk cows, try the milking machine, see beehives and hear about producing the local honey. A quick visit to the local sawmill is an added bonus. The tour travels to Glen s house where you sample the range of cheeses with tasty condiments and complementary wine. Enjoy the scenic ocean and valley views from the verandah whilst cheesemaker John gives you an informative talk. Payment of the remaining balance will be required by 27 October 2016. CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY Go See Touring is constantly striving to improve our itineraries and inclusions. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances, beyond our control make changes necessary, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute inclusions. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS All cancellations must be advised in writing. Once full payment has been received and documents issued, an airline cancellation fee of $250 per person, hotel cancellation fee of $250 per person plus a $30 administration fee per booking will be charged. If cancelling within 7 days of departure 100% cancellation will apply to all air and l land arrangements. Additional airline cancellation fees may apply if internal airfares are issued.
