Boy Scout Summer Camp HHCSR 2018 Camp Fees: $275 Early sign up with deposit Non-refundable, transferrable $100 deposit due Feb 28, 2018 Remaining registration fee is due Apr 13 $175 (late payment fee $5 / week, NTE $300) Merit Badge Sign-up date is noon, Apr 16 (no sign up allowed without full payment) Fees to register for a second week of camp, $210 Non-deposit registration after February 28 th is $300 Registration after May 1st is $325 First 2 adults for up to 16 registered youth are included in youth registrations Each additional 12 Scouts covers one more leader (no fee) Each additional leader: $20/day or $100 /week Campsite reservation fee: $85 5
Boy Scout Summer Camp HHCSR 2018 Camperships are available Applications due Feb 26 th, with $100 deposit (the Scouts 1/3) Late applications are accepted, but will be evaluated on a first come, first serve basis Form on council web site: http://www.hawkeyebsa.org/camping/scoutcamp/ 1/3 Boy, 1/3 Unit, 1/3 Council Please contact the Camping Committee Chair/Camp Director for any extenuating circumstances or questions. The goal is to get every scout who desires to go to camp the opportunity to fulfill their dream. 6
Boy Scout Summer Camp HHCSR 2018 Campership Application for Hawkeye Area Council Summer Program The goal of the Hawkeye Area Council, BSA is for every Scout to be able to participate in a summer program experience. The Council Camping Committees have developed a Campership Program designed to help Scouts in need of financial assistance attend a council summer program. A limited amount of funds are available to assist Scouts who cannot otherwise afford to attend a summer Scouting activity. Yes No Camperships are subjected to the following conditions: The Scout and their family pays as much as possible, minimum one third (1/3) of the program fee. o The unit provides money-earning opportunities (popcorn sales, community fund raisers, etc.) for Scouts to earn funds to pay their own way to camp, participation is required. The unit or chartered partner organization pays as much as possible. The Campership Application should only be for the balance needed after the above resources are exhausted. o The maximum campership awarded will be for up to one third (1/3) of the program fee. The Scout is contributing $ towards the program fee. The Unit is contributing $ towards the program fee. The Charted Organization is contributing $ towards the program fee. The unit leader and the committee recommend that this Scout be provided a $ Reasons: campership May 1 is the deadline for all campership applications. Applications must be filled out completely. Side one completed by the parent/guardian. Side two completed by the unit leader and unit committee. Each Scout applying for a campership needs a completed application. 7:30a.m. Scout Summer Camp Saturday Check Out Staff guides will be at your campsite to help your unit with checkout procedures. 7:30-8:30a.m. Continental breakfast for campers at the dining hall. Make sure your Scouts (and parents) visit the patio of the dining hall to check the lost-and-found one last time! Before 9:30a.m. Units are to check out before 9:30 AM. Checkout is by the Camp Commissioner or designated Campmaster. Go through the checkout list! Please review your troop s merit badge cards before leaving camp! 17
