Dear NERYC Member: North East River Yacht Club, Inc. On behalf of the Board of Governors, I am writing to ask for your help to assure NERYC continues on a solid financial foundation for the years to come. You and I share a passion for our club s history, its great location, and its wonderful facilities that enable us to gather and make memories that last a life time. It is our collective obligation to see NERYC thrive into the future, therefore we have identified several projects that require replenishing our financial reserves. This year s projects include replacement of the ceiling tiles in the Burgee Lounge and the club needs the plumbing pipes fixed in the basement. Our club is counting on your support! 80 Bayside Drive, P.O. Box 267 North East, Maryland 21901 Phone (410) 287-6333 fax (410) 287-6355 www.neryc.com History: In 2016 the Board of Governors established a Capital Fund Contribution Program (CFCP) designed to promote participation in the club s Work Days and rebuild the Club s critically-important capital fund. Additionally, a Legacy Gift Program was introduced and enables members to support our club with sizeable donations and receive lasting recognition for their generosity. Through active volunteerism on Work Days, commitment to the CFCP, and major donations to the Legacy Gift Program, we will need to continue to build the financial reserves that are needed to ensure a healthy future for our club. Included is your CFCP statement (for 7/2017 6/2018) and an option to include additional donation or a Legacy Gift Program donation. As a reminder, the current CFCP commitment amount is $100 and is required by each member with the opportunity to reduce or eliminate that amount through a $50 credit per Work Day. If there is no amount due, thank you very much for your Work Day service! If your statement shows an amount due, your CFCP is appreciated! If you would like to further support the capital fund, through an additional contribution an additional donation or as part of the Legacy Gift Program, your generosity is greatly appreciated! Please send the CFPC commitment and any additional contributions to the club by mail, over the phone by calling the club s office (410) 287-6333, or personally with a credit card in the Burgee Lounge. As Commodore for over nine months now, I and the Board of Governors appreciate your help, enthusiasm and support of the club. And, I extend my sincere thanks! Thank you, Bob Bob Molloy, Commodore

Rear Commodore Matt Sheldrick Exciting Times for the Restaurant and Bar! We are delighted to welcome Chef Joe to the NERYC team. Next time you are at the club, please stop in to say hello, and extend a big welcome to him. Joe is an experienced chef with a wide range of roles in restaurants, hotels and catering. He began his culinary career in the early nineties and has been continuously working in the food industry ever since. Joe met his wife of 25 years while working in his first culinary job at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Joe s recent experiences working with small and large events will be a great asset to our club. He is also an accomplished pastry chef and plans to add some amazing desserts to our menu. I am personally very excited about the new ideas Joe will bring. I am especially looking forward to the desserts as they are my weakness. I am looking forward to seeing you all in the Club Burgee Lounge to help sample these delicious additions to our menu. In addition to the tempting sweet treats, we have a wide range of delicious options, including salads and burgers, interesting appetizers (don't miss the oyster special), and a wonderful selection of entrees. To complement your meal, choose a beverage from our extensive beer, wine, and cocktail selections. Look out for our cocktail specials, these are always sure to please. Bring a healthy appetite and a large thirst and plan to have a wonderful evening dining and meeting old and new friends. The club is open for you to enjoy Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Our Burgee Lounge is an important part of what makes NERYC a special place on the northern bay. It is always so welcoming and friendly. A truly great venue to wind down, kick back, and relax. So come down, bring friends and family for a fun evening either indoors or enjoying spectacular sunsets outside on the veranda. Don t forget to check out our live music nights for some great entertainment. Just drop in or reserve your favorite table. If you are new to the club, the monthly New Members Night is a great way to start enjoying all the amenities our club has to offer. To make it even better, be sure to collect your free drink!. If you have a boat in our marina or nearby, why cook in your galley on a hot evening? You can just place an order of food to go, sit back in your cockpit, relax and enjoy. Doesn t this sound absolutely brilliant? We are all looking forward to seeing you soon. What are you waiting for? And don t forget our club motto NERYC where the season never ends Matt Sheldrick Rear Commodore NERYC
