ABOUT JAKARTA As the Capital City, Jakarta is a melting pot of representatives from each of these ethnic groups. ABOUT JAKARTA SUBURB It is located in the western part of the island of Java and its capital and largest urban center is Bandung, although much of its population in the northwest corner of the province live in areas suburban to the even larger urban area of Jakarta, even though that city itself lies outside the administrative province. The province's population is 46.3 million (in 2014) and it is the most populous of Indonesia's provinces. The central areas of Bogor, a city in West Java, has one of the highest population density worldwide, while Bekasi and Depok are respectively the 7th and 10th most populated suburbs in the world (Tangerang in adjacent Banten province is the 9th); in 2014 Bekasi had 2,510,951 and Depok 1,869,681 inhabitants. All these cities are suburban to Jakarta.

ABOUT PALEMBANG Palembang is the capital of South Sumatra (Sumatera Selatan) province. It lies on both banks of the Musi River, there spanned by the Ampera Bridge, one of Indonesia s longest bridges. Palembang is the second largest city on the island of Sumatra (after Medan). Its population is predominantly Malay, with a notable Chinese minority consists of almost 2 million people. Palembang is the ninth most populous city in Indonesia. Palembang served as the capital of the Buddhist Srivijaya empire from the 7th to the late 12th century, when the empire s centre shifted to the city of Jambi to the northwest.

MEDIA/PRESS AT VENUES 1:1 Venue : Venue Press Center 10% The press space at the venue will comprise at 5% to 10% of spectator space In some venues, a special gate for media will be available, however a special lane for media will be available for venues which only with limited gates. The press tribune and photo positions will depend on each venue. We will do our best to provide enough space and the best view for the press and photographers. There will be open interview areas and also interview room in certain venues. An interview area will also be available in the mixed zones, in the corridor or special room between arena and the athlete rooms

Besides sending news release through our Information System, our games news services also involves following up competition process, sending the results and news bulletins of all events in paper, website and media apps, duly updating the pigeonhole at the competitions.

DRESS CODE All accredited journalists are required to maintain a suitable and respectable standard of appearance, ensuring overtly conspicuous branding is not displayed on clothing or equipment. Accredited photo journalists covering the Opening and Closing Ceremonies from certain positions may be required to conform to a different dress code, which will be advised by the Venue Photo Manager and/or Venue Manager. Typically, the standard for these positions is to wear black or dark clothing.

LOCKERS Lockers are available on a first come, first served basis from the VPC and MPC and sub MPC Help Desks. There I is no charge or deposit for lockers, however an ID card (Press Card or ID card) match with your accreditation card will be requested. INFO FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS

PHOTO SERVICES Photo Operations has a dedicated team of professionals to provide and manage positions that have been identified as offering photographers the best possible opportunities to capture each sport. A variety of services for photographers will be available at the Main Press Centre (MPC) as well as at each Venue Press Centre (VPC). Almost every VPC will have a dedicated work area for photographers.

CAMERA LOAN AND REPAIR SERVICE The camera loan and repair service will be provided at the MPC and Sub MPC offers support to accredited photographers. Our sponsor, Canon will provide a full support service, ranging from pre-games camera tune-ups and firmware updates to emergency repairs, as well as camera and lens loan. In addition to that, other camera brands will also be available to provide services such as Nikon.

LIGHTING Lighting levels at venues will be suitable for television and photographic coverage. The intensity will not be less than 1650 lux (as measured on the vertical plane in any part of the competition site).

PHOTO POOL Positions have been reserved at each venue for the exclusive use of Official Photographers (OP). Occasionally it may be possible for non-op members to access OP positions. Requests to access positions must be submitted to the Venue Photo Manager at least 24 hours in advance. Successful applicants must attend a photo Pool briefing in addition to the daily photo briefing and exchange their photo bib for a venue-specific OP bib, valid for no longer than one session.

REMOTE AND ROBOTIC CAMERAS Due to the sensitive areas in which remote and robotic cameras are required to be installed (close to field of play, underwater, on catwalks), strict guidelines are applied to ensure safety. There will be limited availability at venues for remote and robotic cameras and approval will be granted on a priority basis by the Venue Photo Manager. All fitting methods and locations must be agreed in advance by the Venue Photo Manager and cameras and fixing systems must be presented for inspection prior to installation. Any system that does not conform to the approved designs, methods or standards will not be approved for installation. Radio frequency spectrum at Games time is regulated by the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information to allow all equipment to operate without interference

Photographers wishing to use any wireless remote device must present the equipment (including Mi-Fi devices and other 3G and 4G hubs/dongles) to the MENKOINFO staff at the Technology Help Desk located in the MPC/VPC for inspection. 12 hours before robotic cameras operated. Any photographer planning to use wireless devices at venues in Jakarta-Palembang must contact the relevant Venue Photo Manager in advance. Only equipment validated by INASGOC and displaying a valid Asian Games 2018 sticker will be approved for use in venues. Each remote camera trigger system will also require its own channel to prevent any interference. This will be allocated prior to each session by the Venue Photo Manager using a simple sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet is available at all VMC Help Desks. Robotic camera installations must be finished at least 2 hours before the start of the game or when there are no athlete activities on the field. Cameras are installed with maximum security system and should not interfere the game. The dismantle process of camera installation are done after 15 minutes after games concluded.

VESTS Accredited photographers will be issued with a vest following registration at the MPC and sub MPC Help Desk. Vests for Jakarta and Palembang venues will be distributed by the Photo Operations Manager at the MPC and sub MPC. Vests permit access to photo positions and must be worn at all times while in competition venues Vests cannot be exchanged. Lost or stolen vests must be reported immediately to the Venue Photo Manager. Any vest that appears to have been modified or defaced should also be reported to the Photo Manager INASGOC. Photographers cameras do not need to be stickered for access to Games venues.
