This will prevent spiders from taking up residence. Be sure to remove the sock before you fire up the appliance. Thank you very much to Bruce and Janet Duvall for being the reporters. The July campout was held July 13-15 with early bird on the 12th at Wilderness RV Resort in Silver Springs, FL. The campout was attended by 7 rigs; Rich Gavin, Bruce and Janet Duvall, Rich and Pam Frederick, Bob and Sarah Edmondson, Tom and Kathy Kotheimer, Ken and Sherrie Risberg and Duke and Barbara Denson. Rich G. arrived on Monday, July 9th and enjoyed walking the campground getting to know some of the other campers. Thursday, brought Bruce and Janet, Rich and Pam, Bob and Sarah, Tom and Kathy and Ken and Sherrie. The campground had concrete pads, paved roads, and an excellent location for driving to local restaurants, shops, and scenic river. It was disappointing that the beautiful pool was closed for maintenance. After setting up some people hunkered down in their campers due to the very hot and humid weather in the 90 s. Others gathered in the shade to visit. Before and after supper the dogs were walked. Janet and Bruce along with their boxer Roxie, did meet Sherrie and her puppy, Ellie Mae for a fun meet and greet. Friday Janet and Bruce went to a hearty breakfast at Jan s River Park Café located on the campground property and bumped into Bob and Sarah. The food was great and the $4.99 breakfast deal of two eggs, bacon and pancakes did the trick for feeding the hunger pains. Sherrie had been busy sewing fabric at home that Rich G. bought to decorate his rig. They hung the panels and the rig looked great. Ken, Sherrie, Janet, Bruce, Tom, Kathy, Duke and Barbara went to a fantastic meal at Sonny s with a great waitress that made sure the food was served on time and tasty. When they got back we played Seven s at the campground s quaint, wooden pavilion on rustic, bench seats. Ken and Duke were the low point winners with Rich G. and Barbara scoring the high points. Saturday morning chef Rich G. provided breakfast with plenty of eggs to order, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast and melon with his blend of good humor cooking away. He even invited one couple from the campground that were in the process of redoing their conversion van. Thank you Rich for your kind hospitality for providing such a scrumptious meal. After breakfast, Bob, Sarah, Rich, and Pam left to go shopping. Tom, Kathy, Duke and Barbara were not far behind them. Bruce and Janet explored the Ocklawaha River along side the campground. It was very exciting to reach their destination at the river s edge to hear a warning from a local boater that alligators were milling about in the river. We never ran so fast in our lives to get back to the safety of our RV. Shade was the name of the game Saturday afternoon. Later we gathered at the pavilion for a barbecue bringing our own meats and a dish to share. Thank you to Rich G. for providing the grill. After supper we had a quick discussion

Page 2 about food plans for the rest of the year. Later we played I Need It-Nickels game. Some members brought their own chairs instead of sitting on the rustic benches. Everyone had fun. We called it a night as lightening approached but we never did get any rain. Sunday morning brought the good byes and safe travels until we meet again. See you next campout. Chapter Meeting Information Although we did not have a meeting, we had a quick discussion and agreed on food plans for the rest of the year. The reporter schedule has changed to help people that had changes in their plans. We now need volunteers for November and December. Please send Sherrie an email to volunteer as soon as possible. Please be sure to make your reservations for each campout as soon as possibleit helps the campground know how many of us are planning on coming. Thank you for the great support of the monthly food bank collection. Please continue to pray for each other-that s what helps bind us together as a chapter family. Wagon Master Information PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE OR ARE NOT COMING TO ALL CAMPOUTS. Please send Rich Gavin, wagon master and Pat Dean, president, an email, or make a phone call with your plans. Communication is important. Campgrounds ask questions, people get worried when you don t come at your normal time. Their email addresses and telephone numbers are on the front page. Thanks for your cooperation in letting them know your plans. Campouts are held Friday-Sunday with early birds on Thursday or earlier if desired. Please try very hard to make your reservations at least 30 days in advance. Food: Bring your own plate, silverware and drink to any food gathering (paper, plastic, or real-your choice). Friday nights you are on your own to go out to dinner, eat in your rig, or join others for dinner. Please include guests in your dinner plans. Don t assume someone else has. Saturday nights we will gather for dinner at 5:30. Page 6 Bear tales as reported by Ramblin Bear This trip with Larry and Mary begins in Florida, then some time in New Jersey. Soon we will be leaving for Pittsburg PA for a Corvair convention. We will then go to Indiana to visit their granddaughter before returning to Florida. We had to do some repairs to the truck in preparation for the trip to the Convention. I supervised. A side trip to the New Jersey shore is not complete without some mini golf. Our first stop was NJ where we visited family. Could not help myself as I joined Kip in Karaoke. Mary s brother Jim and his granddaughter Jamie Of course no trip to Jersey is complete without pizza!
