Academic Year Dates 2014 1 ST Semester: March 5 th to July 12 th Orientation Week: February 27 th -28 th 2 nd Semester: August 4 th to December 13 th Orientation Week: July 31 st August 1st Application Deadline Semester 1 (March July): November 15 th Semester 2 (August December): April 15 th Maximum Exchange Period Two semesters Academic Level(s) offered to Exchange Students Undergraduate Programs Language of Instruction Spanish and English (Check the English Course Offer List) Preparatory Language courses for International Students Spanish Language and Chilean Culture Course (only available during the 2 nd Semester)

Compulsory Language Test for Exchange Students No test required. International Students must have a high level of Spanish proficiency in order to attend classes properly. Mandatory Documents - All accepted students must apply for the Student Visa in the correspondent embassy or consulate. - All students must have a Health Insurance with international coverage to cover their complete exchange period. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS SERVICES International students receive academic counselling, a welcome program, tours and different activities during their exchange semester. The International Relations Office provides information, contacts and counsel for students, assisting them in finding the best accommodation in Chile during their exchange period. These places are off campus and may be either in university residence halls, family housing or shared apartments. Monthly Accommodation Costs Monthly Living Costs $ 150.000 - $350.000 aprox. Chilean Pesos (Some places include meals). $ 350.000-450.000 aprox. Chilean Pesos
