TITLE NAVIGATION - XM GRAPHICAL WEATHER UPGRADE EFFECTIVITY MODEL SERIAL NUMBERS 750 (Citation X) -0001 thru -0306 The equivalent of this service bulletin has been incorporated on production airplanes -0307 and On. NOTE: Cessna-owned Citation Service Centers are the only facilities that can complete this service bulletin. NOTE: Make sure that you have the applicable flight manual supplements for your airplane prior to accomplishing this service bulletin. (Refer to the REFERENCES section for a list of flight manual supplements.) NOTE: SB750-34-55, Navigation - Honeywell Primus Elite Upgrade must be installed before or at the same time as this service bulletin. The owner/operator will realize a cost benefit if they choose to incorporate this service bulletin at the same time as SB750-34-55, Navigation - Honeywell Primus Elite Upgrade. The incorporation of this service bulletin is still at the owners discretion. NOTE: The subscription for the XM Graphical Weather will need to be set up prior to the operational test of this service bulletin. It is advisable that the subscription be set up prior to the start of this service bulletin. REASON To provide XM graphical weather to be displayed in the cockpit on the MFD's. DESCRIPTION This service bulletin provides parts and references to the engineering drawings necessary to install the XM graphical weather upgrade. COMPLIANCE OPTIONAL. This service bulletin can be accomplished at the discretion of the owner. A service bulletin published by Cessna Aircraft Company may be recorded as completed in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service bulletin, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service bulletin kit. Make sure the subscription for the XM Graphical Weather is set up or will be set up before the operational check of this service bulletin. NOTE: The operational check of the XM Graphical Weather can not be completed without a subscription for XM Graphical Weather. 2. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. B. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane. (1) Disconnect the airplane batteries. (2) Disconnect external electrical power. C. Attach maintenance warning tags to the batteries and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" writtenonthem. 3. Remove the interior seats, upholstery, equipment and access panels as necessary to complete this modification. (Refer To The Model 750 Maintenance Manual and the Model 750 Interior Maintenance Manual And Illustrated Parts Catalog.) NOTE: This service bulletin does not contain step by step instructions to install the XM graphical weather upgrade. The mechanic must use the engineering drawings and best shop practices to make sure proper installation of the parts and equipment. The modification steps can be accomplished in the order of precedence based on the mechanic preference. 4. Do the modification for the XM graphical weather receiver installation. (Refer to engineering drawing 9590026.) 5. Do the wiring modification for the XM graphical weather. (Refer to engineering drawing 9511303.) 6. Do the wiring modification for the XM Antenna installation. (Refer to engineering drawing 9524009.) 7. Install the interior seats, upholstery, equipment and access panels that were removed to complete this modification. (Refer To The Model 750 Maintenance Manual and the Model 750 Interior Maintenance Manual and Illustrated Parts Catalog.) 8. Make sure all maintenance warning tags are removed from the batteries and external power receptacle. 9. Connect the airplane batteries. 10. Do the operational check of all equipment that was removed and/or installed. (Refer to the Model 750 Maintenance Manual and engineering drawings as necessary.) A. Do the Testing, Return to Service for the XM Weather System. (Refer to the Model 750, XM Weather System ICA Supplement, ICA-750-23-00005, Section 6 Testing, Return to Service and Troubleshooting.) 11. Disconnect external electrical power. 12. Make sure that Cessna Model 750 Airplane Flight Manual, Supplements are inserted in the airplane flight manual.
