i FOREWORD May ALLAH be praised, that on HIS permission, we finally could finish one of my big missions that are to realize the comprehensive handbook for Aviation Safety Training Department of the Indonesian Civil Aviation Institute (ICAI). The title of this handbook is Batfish and Southview Aerodrome Flight Information Service which is prepared for the completion of training material at Aviation Safety Training Department, particularly for the Aeronautical Telecommunication Training Division. The purpose of issuing this handbook are (1) to provide students with the newest information/direction and guidance in the practical training of the Aeronautical Telecommunication Training Division and (2) to response the user s request to improve the quality of training by providing the student with the more comprehensive written document containing the air traffic services and procedures.
