Presidents Corner Michael & Kim Merideth Hi Y all, Great meeting, March 8, 2016, despite the inclement weather. We had 42 members in attendance and voted in Chris and Ruth Stewts for a grand total of 44. Thanks again to everyone that helped with the Foster Children's Prom. We had 34 cars and 22 boys so they had a great choice of rides to the festivities. Also thanks to Andrea Johnson for making the reservations for dinner at La Cantina Restaurant in Port Arthur, always a good time when we can enjoy and get to know fellow members better. March starts the car show season with the first being the West Brook Autorama held at Wesley Methodist Church on the 5th, we had 12 members and Ronnie Jones won Best of Show. Congratulations Ronnie. April 16 is one of Tri-City Corvette Club's favorite things. The Annual Poker Run, right now plans are still secret but as always we will leave from Fuzzy's Taco Shop, one of our sponsors, and end at the Grille. What's in between is anybody's guess, Rod and Shawn will always do a great job as always. This year we have been invited to be a part of The Neches River Festival Parade on April 2. We will line up at Laurel and MLK at 8:30 AM. This is an honor for Tri-City Corvette Club to be a part of the premier festival of Beaumont and to show how we give back to our community. May 21 is just a little over 2 months away and we still have a lot of work to prepare for Tri-City Corvette Club's 22nd Annual Corvette Show. FOUR 2016 COLORS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK Chevrolet has already said 'goodbye' to two of the 2016 Corvette colors, and has now announced two more on the chopping block. The last Night Race Blue rolled off the assembly lines in Bowling Green on January 7, a Z06 Coupe for export. This is to be followed by the last Daytona Sunrise Orange, rolling off the line on Monday, February 15 - a Stingray Z51 Coupe. Next to leave the color line-up for 2016 are Shark Gray and Laguna Blue. When's your last chance to order those shades, and when can you see the 2017 colors? Check it out on our website FOUR 2016 COLORS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK Daytona Sunrise Orange Laguna Blue 12

Night Race Blue Shark Gray Chevrolet has already said goodbye to two of the 2016 Corvette colors, and has now announced two more on the chopping block. The last Night Race Blue rolled off the assembly lines in Bowling Green on January 7, a Z06 Coupe for export. This is to be followed by the last Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic, rolling off the line on Monday, February 15 a Stingray Z51 Coupe. Next to leave the color line-up for 2016 are Shark Gray and Laguna Blue. Shark Gray is slated to phase out in May and the last day to order it will be April 15. Laguna Blue will phased out with the end of the 2016 model year. The last day to order it is April 28. At least over the last decade, I do not recall GM dropping this many colors in a single year, said Museum Delivery Program Manager, Shane Webb. I don t have exact statistics, but it s definitely a rarity to have this much change. It s puzzling to many within the Corvette world because Shark Gray was the third most popular color for both the Stingray and Z06 for 2015. Chevrolet has not yet said what prompted the particulars colors to get the ax, nor have they announced the 2017 model-year line up, but you can bet there will be samples of any newbies at the Michelin NCM Bash April 28-30. If you haven t registered yet, you can do so online here. 13
