Inverness is a city on Scotland s northeast coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth. It s the largest city and the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. Day 1 Welcome to Edinburgh. You will be met on arrival for a private transfer to your Hotel, available on request Check-in to your hotel and relax This evening you will meet our local representative and your new friends for a welcome 3 course dinner at the hotel with beer, wine & soft drinks included The Witchery by the Castle Hotel, Edinburgh (or similar) D Day 2 After breakfast you will be meet your local guide for a full day guided tour or the capital. In the morning enjoy a 3 hour-guided tour by car. You will be driven through the New City of Edinburgh and you may want to stop for some pictures. The car will drop you off at Edinburgh Castle to visit the Castle with the guide with entrance fees included. Lunch at your leisure in the old part of the City. After lunch you will enjoy a walk down the Royal Mile which will take you to Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the Royals in Edinburgh. Visit of the Palace (entrance fee not included and can be purchased on the day at the ticket office). Return back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Your first stop will be at Luss, one of the prettiest villages in the area which sits on the bank of Lock Lomond, the biggest of the lakes of Scotland. If you fancy a tour on the lake, tickets can be bought directly at the pier. Leaving Luss, the next stop will be at Inverary which sits on the banks for Lock Fynee for the visit of the Inverary Castle, residence of the Campbell family, Dukes of Argyll. The castle is one of the well preserved castles of Scotland. After the visit of the castle, we depart through the Highlands towards Oban. Dinner at your leisure Oban Bay Hotel, Oban (or similar) B
Day 4 After breakfast you will meet your local guide for a full day tour to stroll and enjoy a panoramic views around the Isle of Mull. You will be returned to your hotel to relax. Oban Bay Hotel, Oban (or similar) B Day 5 After breakfast you will meet your local guide/driver and and depart towards the beautiful capital of the Highlands, Inverness. On the way we stop at Loch Ness where you will enjoy a cruise on the lake and watch out for the famous monster of all times, Nessy! You will visit the Ruins of Urquhart Castle on the Lake Ness and have time for something to eat at Fort August at your leisure, a very picturesque village on the banks of the lake. We continue on towards Inverness and check in to your hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a 3 course dinner in a local restaurant which includes beer, wine & soft drinks Pentahotel, Inverness (or similar) B, D Day 6 After breakfast you will meet your driver/guide and spend the day on the Isle of Skye. The Isle of Skye, connected to Scotland s northwest coast by bridge, is known for its rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles. The largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago, it has an indented coastline of peninsulas and narrow lochs, radiating out from a mountainous interior. The town of Portree, a base for exploring the island, features harbour-side pubs and boutiques. Scenaries, coastline and wildlife you have never seen before. Eilean Castle, on the way to Skye or on the way back from Skye is another must stop! That is the set of the worldwide movie Highlander. During the tour lunch is at your leisure. We then return to Inverness. Pentahotel, Inverness (or similar) B Day 7 After breakfast, check out of your hotel and meet your local driver/guide to depart towards the East Coast of Scotland, Stonehaven. Here you can visit and admire the ruins of Dunnotter Castle, a medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland on the north-east coast of Scotland. The surviving buildings are largely of the 15th and 16th centuries, but the site is believed to have been fortified in the Early Middle Ages. Dunnotter has played a prominent role in the history of Scotland through to the 18thcentury Jacobite risings because of its strategic location and defensive strength. The Castle has been set in many movies too like the Othello. We will stop for lunch is at your leisure. Arrive in Edinburgh and check in to your hotel.
