CHANGING LIVES, ONE MEMORY AT A TIME.

Set among 216 acres of aweinspiring coastal redwoods, Catholic Charities CYO Camp is a magical place where campers gain self-confidence, discover the wonders of nature, and enjoy being young. For six extraordinary weeks each summer, children ages 8-17 make CYO Camp a special haven for building memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Located sixty miles north of San Francisco near the historic town of Occidental, CYO Camp is a Catholic community where, for 70 years, campers of all religious backgrounds learn about themselves, grow with others, explore nature, and reflect with God in a nurturing environment. YOUTH PROGRAMS With programs rich in tradition, Catholic Charities CYO Summer Camp creates an environment where youth can explore the world around them and develop powerful friendships that will last a lifetime. Summer days are filled with a large variety of activities including swimming, hiking, archery, soul food, tie-dye, gaga ball, sports, and canoeing. CYO Summer Camp staff host exciting evening programs such as talent shows, campfires, dances, and sleeping under the stars. Each day campers are invited to select activities that fit their individual interests. Every camper will experience an off-site excursion to either the Sonoma Coast or a local nature reserve. Age-appropriate Villages ensure that your child will have the opportunity to create a community with kids their own age in a safe and healthy environment. Villages Freestone (ages 8 10) Named for a nearby town, Freestone is where the fun begins. Whether they re experiencing a week away from home for the first time or the third time, Freestone campers grow unexpectedly and go beyond what they thought was possible. Wildwood (ages 12 14) Team building activities, leadership development, and a community rich in tradition are all part of the unforgettable experience of Wildwood. Campers deepen their understanding of themselves, others, nature, and God in this dynamic environment. Middle Earth (ages 10 12) Middle Earth is the place where campers explore their role as a steward of their community and our planet. Activities allow their interpersonal skills to flourish in this rich environment while fostering a sense of wonder and a deeper connection to nature. Register online @

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR SPECIAL DISCOUNTS! EARLY BIRD Catholic Charities CYO Summer Camp Staff The enthusiastic and diverse staff of CYO Summer Camp work together to create an unforgettable experience for your child. Many were campers themselves and have dreamed of the day when they would lead a cabin of campers. Our staff returns year after year to develop leadership skills, grow professionally, and be positive role models for the next generation. They embody the CYO Camp philosophy and share a passion for fun-filled adventure in nature. Counselors are mentors, peer leaders, and exceptional childcare workers who engage campers in activities that balance fun, friendship, responsibility, respect, and trust. Our dedicated staff is committed to making a difference in the lives of the youth we serve. Teen Programs Stepping Stone (ages 15 17) On the historic Miwok side of CYO Camp, teens reconnect with themselves as they unplug from modern technology and take a break from the fast pace of their everyday life. The last step before taking on a leadership role, Stepping Stone campers celebrate diversity while discovering their true selves. Each session features an off-site excursion to the Russian River. Counselor In Training (CIT) Program (ages 16 17) Participants in our CIT program gain invaluable leadership qualities and improve skills related to self-expression, peer relationships, role modeling, and accountability. Throughout each session CITs gain responsibility and experience a feeling of accomplishment while mentoring young campers. In addition to hands-on leadership training, CITs will receive up to 70 community service hours and certification in CPR. Both the CIT registration form and application are required to register for this program and can be found at: More info 707 874 0200 Register before March 31, 2018 and save $40!
