2 Ensto Manufacturer of electrical components and systems This brochure presents the economical, versatile and reliable Ensto Origin manual motor controllers and local disconnect switches. Ensto is a privately held international group of companies specializing in the development and manufacturing of electrical components, devices, equipment, and systems. Founded in Finland in 1958 by engineer Ensio Miettinen, Ensto now has subsidiaries in seventeen countries and is affiliated with other highly qualified professionals operating as strategic partners in over 40 additional countries. While achieving this growth, the company nurtured the engineering and manufacturing expertise at its core and applied it in the development of prod ucts for the transmission, distribution, control, and utilization of electricity. Ensto Control Oy is the member of the group that focuses on low voltage (1,000 V and under) switching and control products, including enclosures. Our quality management system is ISO 9001 certified, and our environmental management system is ISO 14001 certified, providing the basis for our CE markings. This brochure presents our economical and versatile range of manual controllers and local disconnect switches the traditional, reliable Ensto Origin series and our Ensto Compact line, one of the most well-known selections. Ensto enclosed controllers and local disconnects are UL-listed (508) assemblies of Ensto Cubo series enclosures, Ensto Origin rotary switches and handles, and Ensto ground and neutral terminals. The products include Ensto Clampo Compact multiple-pole terminal blocks and Ensto Clampo Pro, high-current Al/Cu IEC-style terminal blocks. The compact and modular Ensto Compact series complements our range of UL-listed manual motor controllers.

3 Manual Motor Controllers and Local Disconnect Switches Ensto Compact Ensto Compact is one of the most well-known ranges of small rotary switches, with users including the world s leading switchgear manufacturers. The Ensto Compact rotary switch series is of the European modular style, with convenient add-on poles for power, auxiliary contacts, and neutral and ground terminals. Items in the Ensto Compact series are small in size and of quality design. The small frame is only two DIN modules wide (36 mm). The switches are available with nominal currents of 20 A and 30 A, with both rear-mounting (direct or DIN rail) and front-mounting versions. The Ensto Compact switches are UL-listed controllers, UL File No. 164205; UL 508: Manual Motor Controllers Suitable as Motor Disconnect. As well as additional poles and auxiliary contacts, the range of accessories includes handles, extension shafts, and terminal covers. Direct handles are available in black, blue, and red. In addition, we have a wide range of extended actuation handles available. The Ensto Compact rotary switch series has convenient add-on poles for power, auxiliary contacts, and neutral and ground terminals. Switches in the Ensto Compact series are of the European, modular design and compact in size; three modules of the switch fit into the old standard two-module width. The range of accessories includes terminal shrouds.

7 Manual Motor Controllers and Local Disconnect Switches Ensto Origin Ensto Origin switches can be directly actuated or through-door (extended-shaft) actuated. Ensto Origin is a complete line of traditional, reliable manual motor controllers and local disconnect switches. The series includes 3- and 4-pole rotary and toggle switches, with nominal currents of 25 A to 100 A. Ensto Origin switches are UL-listed controllers, UL File No. 164205; UL 508, Manual Motor Controllers Suitable as Motor Disconnect. These industrial switches are small in size but big in grunt; they have proven their rugged reliability in thousands of applications. All Ensto Origin switches can be directly actuated, and, in addition, all Ensto Origin rotary switches can be through-door (extended-shaft) actuated. The wide range of accessories includes, for example, auxiliary contacts and handles. Toggle-actuated Ensto Origin switches can be used with face covers for additional touch protection. The covers are also suitable for use in DIN cutout windows. Our Ensto Origin line of small industrial switches has been private-labeled by major corporations worldwide, and has demonstrated its rugged reliability in thousands of applications with a wide variety of mounting configurations. The range of load break switches is completed with a changeover mechanism, ideal for applications such as telecoms (in particular, cell phone masts), maintenance applications where a circuit needs to be in the off position while being worked on and power transferred to another circuit, and reversing the direction of a machine.
