ACCOMMODATION FOR PROJECTS LOCATED IN BUENOS AIRES Hostel BA Stop Hostel BA Stop Hostel is a privately run, independent hostel for backpackers and comprises basic but clean facilities. The hostel is located in downtown Buenos Aires, just a few minute walk from historic Plaza de Mayo and close to the Colon Theatre. The hostel offers nicely decorated common areas with artistic wall designs, communal kitchen and air-conditioned/heated rooms with Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk assistance. During the evening the lodge is often busy with social activities, some people cook, others watch movies and some choose to
relax outside listening to music while socialising with the other guests. The accommodation has female only dorm rooms and also mixed sex dorms and you will have a bunk bed.. Sheets and linen are provided and your room will be cleaned daily and your sheets changed once a week but please take your own towel. Bathrooms: The bathrooms are shared but will be close to your room and they have hot water showers. Kitchen: There is also a fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast room and bar. The kitchen area is well equipped which you will share with the other guests, so that you can make your own "home cooked" meal whenever you like. The kitchen commonly includes things like: cookers, kettles, pantries, fridges, plates, cutlery, utensils and an area to eat your meals. Recreation and other facilities: BA Stop Hostel can provide its own fun activities. These usually include: ping pong table, computer with internet access and Wi-Fi, TV, DVD player amongst other things. There is a launderette nearby or the hostel can arrange to take it to the laundry for you and if you give it to reception. All bedrooms have a locker but please bring your own padlock and there is also a luggage room should you require it. Hostel Milhouse Hostel Milhouse Hostel is a privately run, independent hostel for backpackers and comprises basic but clean facilities. The hostel is located in downtown Buenos Aires, just a few minute walk from historic Plaza de Mayo and close to the Colon Theatre. It is located just a 2 minute walk from BA Stop Hostel on Rivadaria. The hostel endeavours to create a true home away from home atmosphere and has an area with a pool table and indoor games and also reading and recreation areas. There s a communal kitchen and air-conditioned/heated rooms with Wi-Fi throughout and a 24-hour front desk assistance. Accommodation rules at the hostels: All rules will be explained on arrival. Local facilities in the area: Your accommodation is situated in the central district with shops, and transport access nearby. There are also restaurants and snack shops galore in this area and supermarkets where you can stock up on provisions and cook in the hostel kitchen. There are money changing facilities nearby, with ATMs and banks situated on the main Avenue, Avenida de Mayo. Local Transport in the area: The nearest Subway station ( LIMA ) is also on Avenue de Mayo, just a 2 minute walk away from both the hostels. There are bus stops near to the hostel and you can also find taxis nearby. You are responsible for keeping your bedrooms tidy, and there is a housekeeper that will clean the rooms. Food You will be given an allowance to buy your breakfast and evening meal each day. This arrangement will give you the opportunity to choose from the huge variety of restaurants in Buenos Aires. In addition there is a self-catering kitchen at the hostels that you can use to store and prepare your own food.

You can use your allowance to buy breakfast or buy provisions or eat breakfast out! The money that you will be given is, at the time of writing, is USD 12 per day and you ll receive this as a food allowance. On arrival in Argentina you will be given your first month s food money. Host Family Accommodation: Host family accommodation gives you the opportunity to become more integrated with the local community and is ideal if you want to practice your Spanish (Basic/intermediate Spanish is required to stay with a Host Family). You will be integrated into the family and will be provided with a comfortable and clean private room and will have use of the kitchen. Breakfast will be provided every day and for dinner (optional) you will usually share a typical Argentinean meal with your family. Facilities in host families do vary, but you will have the opportunity to express your preferences regarding the type of family that you stay with (for example, a family with/without children, pets etc).
