Private Investment and Public Works The purpose of this section is to provide you with clear and relevant information regarding the most important investment opportunities in Peru for private investment, concessions, privatizations and public works. For your convenience, we have classified the different projects as follows: Peruvian Economy The Government entrusted Proinversión to grant in concession fifty one projects for the next year for a total investment of $ 9, 900 million. (Read more) Free Trade Agreements The negotiation of the Free Trade Agreement between Peru and Guatemala has reached to an end, announced the minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, José Luis Silva. In this regard, because of said Agreement, 94.7% of Peruvian exportation products to Guatemala will be free from taxes for a maximum period of five years, while 81.4% of imports from Guatemala to our country will be liberalized in five years or less, since the FTA enter into force.
