Description A customer has requested an appeal of a decision by environmental health to deny the site for an on-site sewage disposal system based on our interpretation of the Allegan County Water and Sewage Regulations. According to the regulations the appeals board is comprised of 3 individuals appointed by the Board of Commissioners. According to the regulations this meeting needs to be scheduled and take place as soon as possible but not more than 60 days of when the request for an appeal was made, which was September 20, 2016. 701.00 BOARD OF APPEALS In order to provide for reasonable and equitable interpretations of the provisions of these regulations and their prospective application, but not for violation thereof, there is hereby created a Board of Appeals which shall consist of three members appointed by the Board of Commissioners. A quorum of the board of appeals shall be two members and a quorum must be present to hear appeals. The Board of Commissioners may appoint alternate members to serve when, due to extenuating circumstances, regular members cannot be present for a scheduled meeting. The Board of Appeals shall furnish the appellant with a written report of its findings and decision.
