The circuit starts and ends on the south bank of the Thames at Red Lion Court. The event opens with a trek out to the Cutty Sark before heading under the river and back to the Tower of London. From there, the landmarks come thick and fast. Having past through the city visiting some of the great tourist attractions, the route takes the walkers past Big Ben and back over the Thames to the south bank where they then head past the London Eye and back to Red Lion Court. Follow the path round by The Anchor pub and turn left through the tunnel after Wagamama and head along Clink Street 0.1 Turn right by the Golden Hinde, pass Café Nero, then turn acutely left after Minerva House before Southwark Cathedral and follow Montague Close round to the right 0.2 Pass through the tunnel under the road and head along Tooley Street 0.3 At the junction opposite London Bridge station, turn left along the A200 Tooley Street 0.8 Straight over the crossroad by the Pommellers Rest towards Bermondsey on the A200 2.0 At the roundabout, take the 3 rd exit along Lower Road towards Greenwich 2.4 Carry straight on along Lower Road keeping Surrey Quays station on your right 3.5 Straight on at the mini roundabout after the shopping parade 3.8 Follow the road round to the right staying on the A200 passing the Sainsbury s Local 4.1 Cross the bridge over the Deptford Creek 4.4 Turn left on Welland Street after the Lord Hood Pub and at the end, turn right staying on Welland Street 4.5 At the end, turn left and arrive at the Cutty Sark

Stage 2 Cutty Sark to the Tower of London 4 0.0 Leave the Cutty Sark through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel 0.2 Head north from the Tunnel exit and the turn left on Saunders Ness Road 0.3 At the end, head straight on (slightly to the left) along Ferry Street 0.4 Turn right by the Ferry House pub and then left on the A1206 Westferry Road by the Lord Nelson pub 1.2 Pass the Millwall slipway on your left 1.9 Turn left following the sign for the Thames Path (Cuba Street) then right following the path along the river 2.4 Emerge from the Thames Path and turn left on Narrow Street 2.9 As Narrow Street turns to the right, head straight on down the footpath marked by a single bollard and the Number 12 on the wall. Follow this path round to the left re-joining the Thames Path 3.4 Follow the Thames Path past King Edward VII Memorial Park and turn left along Wapping Wall crossing the red steel bridge 3.6 Turn left at the end into Garnet Street and follow it round into Wapping High Street 4.3 By Riviera Court (sign on your left hand side), turn left into St Katherine s Way 4.5 Fork left staying on St Katherine s Way by the big white house with three garage doors 4.6 Cross the bridge and follow the tunnel under the building 4.7 On emerging from the tunnel, veer slightly left, pass under the road by Tower Bridge and follow the path arriving at the Tower of London

Stage 3 Tower of London to Covent Garden 5 0.0 Carry on along the path by the tower and follow it round to the right. 0.1 Head up Petty Wales keeping the Tower gift shop on your right, and at the to turn left by the Tower Vaults on Gloucester Ct 0.2 Cross the main road at the top, Lower Thames Street, and head up Great Tower Street past the Hung Drawn and Quartered pub 0.6 Pass Monument Underground station and carry straight on up Cannon Street 0.9 Cross straight over the angled crossroads staying on Cannon Street 1.3 St Pauls Cathedral and carry on along St Pauls Churchyard into Ludgate Hill 1.6 Cross the main junction with Farringdon Street heading into Fleet Street 2.0 Keep right as the road splits by the George pub and follow the road round into Aldwych 2.1 Turn right up Drury Lane by the Aldwych Theatre 2.2 Turn left on Russell Street and follow it down to Covent Garden 2.3 Turn left at Covent Garden and arrive at the Transport Museum

Stage 4 Covent Garden to Kensington Palace 6 0.0 Carry on alongside Covent Garden, keeping it on your left and head into Henrietta Street 0.1 Turn left into Bedford Street 0.2 Turn right on the Strand 0.6 Head straight over Trafalgar Square into the Mall 1.1 Arriving at Buckingham Palace, take the right fork up Constitution Hill passing to the right of Buckingham Palace 1.6 Cross the roundabout at Hyde Park Corner and head up Park Lane keeping the park on your left 2.4 Arriving at Marble Arch, follow Cumberland Gate around to Hyde Park Road and head down Hyde Park Road, keeping the park on the left 3.1 Pass Lancaster Gate Underground station 3.7 Pass the Queensway Underground station and turn immediately into the Broad Walk through Hyde Park 4.0 Arrive at Kensington Palace

Stage 5 Kensington Palace to Big Ben 7 0.0 Carry on down Broad Walk 0.3 At the end, turn left by the Concession Stand and take the left fork along the Flower Walk 0.8 Cross the road and head down the main path through the park on the opposite side 1.6 At the end, cross Knightsbridge and pass Hyde Park Corner Underground station heading along Grosvenor Place passing toe the rear of Buckingham Palace 2.1 Turn left at the lights onto Lower Grosvenor Place 2.2 Turn left on Buckingham Palace Road 2.4 Head straight on through the gates into Birdcage Walk 3.1 Arrive at Big Ben

Stage 6 Big Ben to London Eye 8 0.0 Head back away from the river and follow the road around to the left in front of the Houses of Parliament 0.5 Head straight over the roundabout by the Lambeth Bridge and continue along Mill Bank 1.0 Turn left along Vauxhall Bridge 1.2 After crossing the bridge, go down to the Thames Path and head north with the river on your left 2.3 Arrive at London Eye
