Camper Information Package 2018 This information package is specifically designed to make families aware of Golden Goal s field complex and athlete village amenities and the protocols and procedures that are requested during their Player stay. We strongly encourage all parents to review these materials with their Player in advance of their event.

Information for Campers & Chaperones Location Golden Goal Sports Park 495 Goodman Road, Fort Ann, NY 12827 Facility Site MAP Field Complex & Athlete Village Site Map Link

Arrival at the Facility Campers or their families will not be allowed into the athlete village until fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled Check In. Therefore, we recommend parents plan their travel and arrival schedule accordingly. Any vehicles arriving early will be held in the lower parking lot until fifteen (15) minutes prior to the check in time. Speed Limit The maximum speed limit in the facility is 10 mph and we request all vehicles abide by this policy. Car Parking for Check In Parking for registration is in the upper parking lot, past the Athlete village entrance, and next to the maintenance building. Vehicles are allotted an optional three minutes to drop off players and bags on the road parallel to the athlete village and then must proceed immediately to the parking lot. No permanent parking is allowed on the road into the athlete village. Parking attendants will direct vehicles to the maintenance parking lot. In the event that a coach bus is dropping off a group in the athlete village, vehicles will be held in the lower parking lots until the coach bus departs the facility. Coach Buses Coach buses will be instructed to turn around in the maintenance car park and then drop off groups. Coach buses will be provided with priority access to the athlete village. Check In Check in is typically in the Dining Pavilion at the registration desk.

Registration Paperwork At that check in all Players, Coaches and Chaperones shall be requested to provide us with the required completed forms including the: - Participation Waiver form - Health History form - Immunization form (this form may be substituted with a copy of your school immunization record) The forms are available online by clicking the links above. Campers that are unable to submit this complete paperwork at check in shall not be allowed to participate in activities until all paperwork is received. College Team Excemption Any players associated with a college team that is bringing their own athletic trainer only needs to complete and hand in the: - Participation Waiver form The college athletic trainer shall be responsible for treating their athletes with injuries or health issues. The college is required to bring medical records for all their players and staff which will be held by the athletic trainer throughout the event. Medications and Allergies All players with medications or allergies are required to make themselves and this information known to our Administrative and Medical staff at the check in.

Medical Staff Some organizations choose to have their own Athletic Trainer on site. Alternatively Golden Goal will have a medical staff member to monitor the basic health and well being of participants. The nearest hospital is Glens Falls Hospital located approximately 12 miles away. During field training times the medical staff member is usually positioned under the central pavilion tent in the center of the field complex. At other times the athletic trainer is usually in the Medical Center. If there is a problem with an athlete requiring medical attention during the night the athlete should come with a Chaperone or team mate to the medical center and knock on the first door on the left. If a Player is sick, the medical staff member may require that Camper sleep in the separate player bedroom within the medical center.

Ice and ice bags will be placed outside the medical center throughout the event. Pets No pets may be brought into the Golden Goal facility. This rule is strictly enforced. Accommodation Cabin Assignments The teams will be housed in separate player cabins typically with chaperones that will be either parents from the team, club or organization. Most professional camp or training organizations prefer not to have chaperones. Club staff shall be housed in separate cabins or at the discretion of the organization may be assigned as chaperones in the player cabins. Please contact your organization if you have a question on the cabin assignment. The cabin assignments will be provided to your organization in advance of the camp. However, at check in the cabin assignments will be confirmed or amended.

Camper Cabins (Players/Chaperones) The front portion of the Camper Cabin is reserved for two optional chaperones at the discretion of the organization. Campers are housed in the rear. Each cabin has bunk beds. Players are requested to sleep in the lower bunks. Campers are requested to sleep head to toe in alternate beds. Golden Goal respectfully requests that players do not wear soccer cleats or eat food or candy inside the cabins. Staff Cabins (Coaching/Administrative Staff) Club Coaches and Administrative staff, unless acting as chaperones, shall be housed in separate cabins. Coaching staff are typically housed in a cabin with five (5) beds. Directors or administrative staff are typically housed in cabins with two (2) beds. Staff cabin assignments are allocated on a first come first booked basis. Bedding Campers, chaperones and staff are responsible for bringing their own bedding. We recommend either bringing: A sleeping bag with pillow or Comforter or Blankets with sheets and a pillow Recommended Clothing and Footwear Toiletry bag Towels Soccer cleats Sneakers Flip flops Bathing suit

Sunscreen Sweatshirt Rain jacket Warm up top and pants Club or organization apparel Additional sports apparel (jerseys, shorts & soccer socks for duration of event (if not provided by club or organization) Shin guards Ample underwear and socks Old t-shirt/shorts/socks if doing Challenge Course (very muddy) Bath Houses There are no bathrooms in the cabins, rather two separate bathhouses one for males and the other for females, which have washbasins, toilets and shower areas. There is a separate enclosed adult area within each bath house that should be used only by all coaches, administrators and chaperones. All the showers have wrap around curtains for privacy. It is recommended but optional for Campers to shower in bathing costumes. Flip flops are recommended to be worn while showering in the bath houses. Campers are recommended to wear appropriate clothing in relation to the weather when walking between their cabins and the bath houses and to change in the bathhouses. Campers are not permitted to walk between the bathhouse and the cabins with only towels. Cleaning The bath houses are checked and cleaned regularly throughout the day by our cleaning team. If there are any issues with the bath houses please let a member of staff know immediately.

Laundry Service Golden Goal operates an on site daily laundry service which may be booked in advance or may be available during the event. We strongly recommend avoiding wet clothes in the cabins. The apparel is placed on numbered laundry loops to personally identify individual camper apparel. A maximum of three jerseys, three shorts and three pairs of socks are permitted per wash. The clothes are placed in our commercial washing machines. No personal items are able to be washed. The items must be attached to a laundry loop, which shall be distributed at Check In and is required to be returned at Check Out. The Club or organizations shall be charged $3 per daily wash plus $5 for any laundry loop not returned. Golden Goal will use reasonable efforts to ensure a high quality cleaning service. Golden Goal is not responsible for the normal and potential shrinking, fading or wear and tear during the cleaning process. Golden Goal requires the use of the laundry loops to avoid lost and loose items. Participants must ensure that all pockets are emptied and while Golden Goal makes every effort to check the pockets thoroughly, Golden Goal will not be responsible for any damages that might occur to the contents or the garments. Departure Cabin Inspection All Campers are required to clean the area around their bunk bed after the last training session. There will be a cabin inspection 15 minutes prior to the departure time. All campers are required to be at their bunk bed during that inspection. Parental Access to Athlete Village Parents are permitted to check Campers into their cabins and are welcome to attend the club or organization introduction or orientation. Parents are allowed back into the Athlete Village at check out. Parents are not permitted into the Athlete Village outside the times above without receiving permission in advance from Golden Goal Sports Park. Parents may attend practice or game sessions in the Field Complex as per the guidelines and times set by the organization. During any game or practice observation, parking shall be in the lower parking lots.

Field Complex Fields Golden Goal has four all weather turf fields with floodlights and four grass fields. All fields have full sized goals and smaller portable goals allowing for a variety of training session goal configurations. All portable goals should be moved off the turf fields by coaches when a full sided game is being played. When playing a scrimmage or other training operating across the field, coaches should create a side line with cones at least 5 yards from the full sided goals to prevent the goals becoming an obstacle within or close to the playing area. The grass fields do not open until May and may be closed in inclement weather. At the end of the coaching session it is requested that the field is transformed back to the original configuration layout prior to the session. Water Water containers will be placed on fields during practice sessions and games. No cups are provided. Players are requested to bring and use water bottles.

Meals Meal Times The first meal on the arrival day and last meal on departure day is listed at the top of this presentation. On full days residing at the facility meals are: Breakfast at 8:00am Lunch at 12:00pm Dinner at 5:00pm The above times are meal serving start times. If multiple organizations are on site to avoid campers waiting in our dining area organizations will be staggering the groups through our dining pavilion. Menu Our meals tend to be healthy with a hot food line serving a main course of say chicken, potatoes and vegetable, typically a separate pasta and vegetarian option and two salad options with additional beverages such as lemonade or iced tea. We will offer a glutton free option.

Food Allergies Golden Goal is a nut free dining facility. Campers with food allergies should contact our office at least 30 days prior to the event. Please see the Allergy Guideline Procedures at the following link: Allergy Guidelines and Procedures We make our best efforts to accommodate campers with specific allergies but can t provide additional meals outside our standard menu for individuals. If coordinated in advance, Campers with severe allergies may be allowed to bring their own food, which may be stored in our refrigerators. Parents and campers with allergies should carefully consider the camp environment and the potential risks involved in coming in contact with potential allergic foods before committing to attend the event For more information please contact by email: Rebecca Kane: medical@goldengoalpark.com Please state in that communication: The date of your event Organization or club operating your event Player name Date of birth Food allergy Symptoms after exposure Please note that Golden Goal communicates to all organizations and clubs to advise their Players and parents not to bring in external food or beverages into the athlete village but we are unable to guarantee that all campers will abide by this policy. Evening Snack Some organizations elect to reserve an additional healthy evening snack for their entire group, which typically is schedule 30 minutes after the evening training session.

Village Cafe Our concessions stand will be open from 8:00pm - 10:00pm daily and at other times during the day, which are posted on the concession window. The concession stand has hot and cold food items, candy and beverages available for purchase. Golden Goal does not take credit cards or checks. We would therefore recommend that all campers that may wish to purchase evening snacks be provided with cash. The menu is subject to change at any time without notice. External Food & Beverages Policy ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES SHALL BE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO GOLDEN GOAL SPORTS PARK OR THE ATHLETE VILLAGE. This is strictly enforced for several reasons: 1. Several Campers may have allergies to specific foods and we don t want outside food creating a potential contamination issue. 2. Excessive outside food creates garbage and may attract unwanted small animals. 3. We operate concessions and a supper in the evening incase people are seeking additional snacks or beverages Water Bottled water and only bottled water may be brought into the athlete village.

Presentations and Audio Visual Support Auditorium A large meeting room accommodating one hundred and fifty (150) people is available to host orientations and group meetings. The room has a ceiling projector and large screen that make it ideal for game video analysis and presentations. The auditorium must be reserved in advance and is available upon a first come first reserved basis. Clubs or organizations must bring their own computer to connect to the projector. Media Room A media room with a ceiling projector and large screen is available for small group video analysis, team presentations or team meetings. The media room may accommodate up to 40 players and access must be reserved in advance. Clubs or organizations must bring their own computer to connect to the flatscreen TV.

Recreation Facilities Head Tennis Areas A number of head tennis stations are located throughout the athlete village and between the athlete village and fields. Players are free to utilize the head tennis courts on a first come first served basis between 7:00am to dusk. If a club or organizations has reserved the head tennis areas as part of their training curriculum these reservations shall take priority. Head tennis courts typically open in May and may not be closed if grass surfaces are wet or waterlogged. No Soccer Activities in Athlete Village Absolutely no soccer activities, playing or juggling are allowed in the athlete village at any time.

Camp Bonfire Golden Goal operates a traditional camp bonfire and will schedule all organizations to a bonfire with S mores during their stay. The bonfire may be cancelled due to inclement weather or if a burn ban is in place from the county or State. Coaches Lounge There is a coaches lounge on-site with Couches, tables, chairs, large flatscreen TV and refrigerator. The coaches lounge is reserved strictly for coaching staff and organization officials. Player Lounge There is a player lounge on-site with Couches, tables, chairs, large flatscreen TV, Karaoke and multiple Play Station 4 - FIFA 2018. Games Room There is a games room with table tennis, fuss ball and X-box FIFA 2018 consoles. Outdoor Movie An outdoor movie screen will show movies during the summer months. The movie shall commence around 8:30pm.
