John Hutton Memorial Lecture The British Society of Dental & Maxillofacial Radiology and the RCSEd will host the John Hutton Memorial Lecture on 23 April 2015. This year, the prestigious lecture will be delivered at the RCSEd by Mr PGJ Rout (pictured), Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist, Birmingham Dental Hospital, under the title Working in the Dark. Explaining more about the lecture, Dr Rout said: Radiologists spend much of their time working in the dark. This lecture will cover why this is important, aspects of radiological interpretation and how dental and maxillofacial radiology is emerging from the darkness to illuminate clinical diagnostic problems. Red star marks the main entrance to the Royal College of Surgeons. By Rail Edinburgh Waverley Station is 10 minutes walk from the College, please exit Waverley via the Market Street opening. Take a right and then 1st left onto Cockburn Street and follow the road/hill until the top. Take a left of the top of Cockburn Street onto The Royal Mile. At the 1st set of lights, take a right onto North Bridge and continue along this route until the College is on your left on Nicolson Street, opposite the Festival Theatre. Once in the front gates, please follow the relevant signage for your event. A taxi rank is located at platform 11 in the station. A Taxi to Surgeons Hall would cost around 4.00 By Bus Inter-city bus services terminate at the St Andrew's Square Bus Station, situated next to the St James Centre shopping centre. Buses from Princes Street (stops on the side of the street lined by shops- [north]) are very frequent. Services passing the College include numbers 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 30, 31 and 33.
