Global warming Global warming (Climate change) is the observed century-scale raise in average temperature the Earth s climate system. It was resulted by human influence has been the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. 2

Marine pollution Marine pollution occurs when harmful, or potentially harmful, effects result from the entry into the ocean chemicals, particles, industrials, agricultural, and residential waste, noise or the spread of invasive organisms. 3

Ballast water affection and Solution Ballast water carried on the ship to adjust ship stability and trim usually effects the marine ecosystem and is much harmful to ecological balance just because marine organisms will be transferred from ports to ports through ballast water exchange. The new building B type vessels are using the "wide-beam" concept in order to improve the vessel stability. Through the wide beam concept, the vessels are able to carry the minimum quantity of ballast water during the operation. It can thus reduce the environment impact caused by ballast water exchange 4
