Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 07/29/2016 3:30pm To: 08/01/2016 7:00am 2- Incidents 30000 Greenfield Rd. (Commercial Building) Board located on the N/E portion of the building was kicked in. Officers made location and met with R/P. R/p states they are doing construction on the building and when they arrived to work today at approx. 7:00am they observed the board located on the N/E portion of the building kicked in and several items of construction materials are missing. Another contractor also had several tools, ladders and scaffolding taken. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 07/25/2016 10:15am 30000 Brentwood St. Attempt Only Victim stated he was made aware of an earlier alarm at his residence. A neighbor across the street from victim stated that just prior to officers arriving, he observed his neighbor in victims yard and driveway. When officers arrived, he quickly went back to his residence through the bush line. Officers attempted to make contact with suspect but he refused to answer his door. Suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation. 07/27/2016 4:12pm 27000 Franklin Rd (Residential Apartments) Attempt Forced Entry on Apartment Door Officers were dispatched to Attempt Home Invasion Investigation. Apartment Complex Security advised that the suspect was caught on video attempting to break into an Apartment. This took place at approx. 1:30pm. The police were not called at that time and maintenance came and repaired victim s door. Security called the Police when they located suspect out in front of the Apartment Building @ 4:12pm. The victim advised that the she was at home at the time of the attempt and there was a previous relationship with suspect but the suspect doesn't live at the residence and has never lived there even when they were dating. Security advised that the video shows the suspect pounding at the door and then he uses his body to try to force his way into the apartment breaking the locks

on the door. Investigation revealed there was also a previous incident when the same suspect was advised on Trespassing at location. The suspect was arrested for Home Invasion and Trespassing. From: 07/25/2016 11:00am To: 07/29/2016 1:45pm 26000 W Twelve Mile Rd (Residential-Apartments) No signs of forced entry. Victim states she obtained an undisclosed amount of money for her birthday and placed it in a drawer unknown to anyone besides herself. She last saw the money July 25 at 11:00 am. Victim went out of town. When she got home she went to the drawer to locate the money and discovered it was missing from where she had put it. No signs of any forced entry. 07/30/2016 6:59pm 18000 Westhampton Ave. Attempt on rear sliding glass door. Victim stated that she left the home at 5:45 pm to go to the store. Victim came back approx. 30 minutes later around 6:15pm and noticed the glass to her back sliding door was damaged. No entry was gained into the home. Nothing of evidentiary value found and no pry marks. Victim has a dog inside the home.

From: 07/30/2016 10:00am To: 08/01/2016 10:30am 25000 Larkins St. Entry was gained through a rear door that didn t have a lockset on it yet. Homeowner states he recently purchased the house and is having it renovated before he moves in. Someone entered the house in the last 2 days and took a brand new (still in the box) air conditioner and furnace. Also taken were a lighting fixture and a mirror. Entry was gained into the house through a rear French Door that didn't have a lockset installed yet. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizen that have any homes in their neighborhood that are vacant, under renovation or for sale should keep a close eye them. In particular citizens should watch for any large vehicles, trucks, vans etc. and watch for items such as Piping, Appliances, AC units, and Furnaces being removed from residence. Citizens that see any suspicious activity at any of these residences should call the police and report it. Do not confront anyone. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details 07/25/2016 9:35am 07/25/2016 4:47pm 18000 Melrose Ave. 26000 W Carnegie Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) S - Stolen Manufacturer Lincoln Model MKS R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model EXPLORER Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style UT - Utility (Jimmy/Bronco/etc.) State MI License Year Description 2016 Ford Explorer, Blue, Victim advises sometime over the night someone stole his 2011 Lincoln MKS from his residence on Melrose. A neighbor reported seeing a black or dark colored Dodge Charger parked outside around 11:00pm the evening before that got her attention but she didn't see anyone get in or out of the vehicle and it departed after stopping briefly. The vehicle was recovered by Detroit Auto Recovery. The vehicle was recovered on 07/25/2016 at 10:00pm in Detroit. The rear passenger window was broken out. The vehicle was unoccupied at time of recovery. Officers were dispatched to 26000 Block of W. Carnegie Dr. regarding a report of a suspicious vehicle improperly parked in front of the leasing office all day. The vehicle was a Blue 2016 Ford Explorer that was reported stolen out of the Farmington Hills PD. According to the FHPD, the vehicle was stolen from the registered owner's driveway, possibly with keys. Farmington Hills PD responded to location and recovered the vehicle.

Victim states he left the vehicle unlocked and running. On 08/02/2016 at approximately 11:50pm our Department was notified that victim s vehicle was recovered by Detroit Auto Recovery and an arrest was made. It was recovered on 08/02/2016 at approximately 12:30pm. The vehicle was impounded. There was no damage to the vehicle and the key was in the ignition. The vehicle was parked in the driveway. The vehicle is Black with Black Interior. No suspect information.

(Commercial- Leasing) S - Stolen Manufacturer TOYOTA Model RAV4 Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style State License Year Description RENTAL CAR Manager for Leasing Agency advises subject rented 2016 Black Toyota RAV-4 on June 24, 2016. The car was due back on July 13, 2016. Leasing Agency has exhausted all the necessary avenues for recovery and notifying the Lessee. Suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation. 07/29/2016 10:50pm (Fleeing & Eluding Also) W Eight Mile Rd. & Shiawassee Rd. SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer KAWASAKI Model ZX600-P Color Vehicle Year 2008 Body Style State MI License Year 2015 Description Stolen/Recovered Recovered Date/Time 07/29/2016 10:50pm Location Eight Mile/Van Buren Officers were following two motorcycles riding in tandem w/b on 8 mile. Officers attempted to stop one of the motorcycles that had separated from the other bike for speeding at Eight Mile and Telegraph. The motorcycle fled from Officers. The pursuit was terminated on 8 Mile Rd just east of Beech Rd. A short time later Officers were dispatched to a single motorcycle accident at 8 Mile & Inkster. When Officers arrived on scene they discovered it was the same motorcycle that had fled from them. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle tried to make a left turn, lost control, flipped in the air and hit a sign. The driver appeared to be injured as he fell several times while running south on Fox St. into Redford. It was discovered that the fleeing motorcycle was reported stolen out of Southfield. A recovery was made on the motorcycle. The suspect wasn t located at this time.

MOTORCYCLES: Bike #1: 2008 Kawasaki ZX600-P - Stolen Motorcycle Bike #2: 2014 Yamaha YZFR1 -Was riding in tandem with stolen motorcycle prior to the pursuit. From: 07/31/2016 9:30am To: 07/31/2016 2:30pm 18000 W Twelve Mile Rd. (Residential- Condo s) S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Description 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS Notes Glass was located on the ground were the vehicle was parked. Victim states sometime between 9:30am 2:30pm someone stole her vehicle. There was evidence of broken glass where the vehicle was parked. The vehicle is a 2006 Black Chevy Trail Blazer. Victim states the only things that stand out about the vehicle are the gray rims, and the two stickers in the back window ("M1", "Vagina Bus").

The vehicle was recovered on Fullerton in Detroit by DPD on 08/03/2016. The vehicle was unoccupied at time of recovery. Nothing was taken. 07/27/2016 3:00am 23000 Providence Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Attempt to take Wheels, Tires and Bumper from 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. Victim states on Wednesday July 27, 2016@ 3:00am he was awaken from his sleep by his vehicle alarm sounding. Upon going out to his vehicle he discovered the lug nuts removed from his wheels & the bumper partially removed from his vehicle. No suspect information.

07/27/2016 11:18am 26000 E. Carnegie Park (Residential- Apartments) Tablet was taken from victims 2001 Buick LeSabre. Victim stated his Tablet was stolen out of his vehicle on Saturday July 23, 2016 sometime between 1:00am & 9:00am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information. From: 07/27/2016 4:30am To: 07/27/2016 5:00pm 26000 Shiawassee Rd. S Stolen from 2016 Jeep Description Michigan License Plate Victim states sometime between 4:30am- 5:00pm someone took victims license plate from her 2016 Jeep. From: 07/27/2016 9:00pm To: 07/28/2016 8:00am 22000 La Loire St. (Residential- Apartments) Navigation System & pair of Michael Jordan shoes were taken from 2015 Dodge Challenger. Victim states his 2015 Dodge Challenger was broken into overnight. Entry was gained into the locked vehicle by smashing out the driver's side window. Taken was the GPS/Navigation system out of the center counsel area of the car. Also stolen out of the car was a pair of Tennis Shoes.

Victim states sometime between 7:30pm and the following day at 1:30pm someone broke out window on vehicle and took the Navigation System. From: 07/29/2016 10:45pm To: 07/29/2016 11:15pm 16000 North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Radio/ AC Component were taken from 1998 Honda Acura. Victim states the Radio/ AC Unit was stolen out of his vehicle on Friday July 29, 2016 sometime between 10:45pm- 11:15pm. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information. From: 07/31/2016 9:00am To: 07/31/2016 11:00am 24000 Walden Rd E. (Residential- Apartments) Stereo/ Navigation System was taken from 2015 Dodge Challenger Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. The two suspects then entered the vehicle and drove away with the vehicle towards Franklin Rd. Victim#1 states his Handgun, Debit/ Credit Cards, and his cell phone were in the car. Victim#2 states her cell phone, ID and an undisclosed amount of cash were also in the vehicle when it was taken. 07/29/2016 2:50pm 24000 Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Business) ID, Credit Cards, Cash, IPhone and a set of keys were taken from victim. Suspect#2 Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) Sex M Race BLACK Facial Hair Clean Shaven Build Thin Height 5' 8" Weight Attire Black/Gray hoodie/ Unknown pants, shoes Notes Suspect #2 approached driver side of vehicle. Victim operates a buying and selling of used merchandise business, cell phones, video games, etc. Today about 5 minutes before getting robbed he received a phone call from a person he has done 2-3 transactions with in the past. He only knows suspect by his first name. The suspect said he had 3- IPhones for sale. Victim agreed to buy the phones. A short time later suspect and another unknown B/M came into the office. Both were brandishing handguns. Both subjects pointed their guns at victim. They went through victim s pockets and stole his ID, Credit Cards, IPhone, a set of keys and an undisclosed amount of cash. Unarmed Robbery: 07/25/2016 7:24pm 15000 W Nine Mile (Commercial- Food) Cash was taken from victim. Victim states he was at the Gas Station at 9 Mile & Greenfield Rd buying a lottery ticket. When he left he noticed two subjects staring at him and then followed him into Southfield. After doing some shopping at another business in Southfield subject noticed the same two subjects were still watching him. When victim got to 9 Mile & Foster Winter one of the subjects came up behind victim, reached into his pocket and took what cash he had in his pocket. The two suspects then ran on foot east into Oak Park. Suspect Descriptions: Suspect # 1: B/M, 20's wearing a white t-shirt, white pants sagging showing orange colored underwear. Approx. 6'-0" with short stubbed dreads, no facial hair and a thin build. Suspect # 2: B/M, 20's wearing black t-shirt, worn out blue jeans with sparkles on the back pockets. Short black hair, approx. 5'-6" with stubby facial hair. Stocky complexion and a heavy build. Officers investigating were able to obtain video of one of the suspects from a business that suspect was at. Unknown who the suspect is at this time. Incident is under investigation.

07/27/2016 4:55pm 20000 Knob Woods Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Medication and Cash was taken from victim. Victim states he went to the 20000 Block of Knob Woods Dr. to pick up some items that he had left at his friends the night before. After arriving, his friend advised him his items were in the back. While walking to the back of apartment victim was jumped by at least four unknown subjects that hit him several times. Victim states he was knocked out momentarily. When he regained consciousness he ran from the apartment out to his girlfriend s vehicle and they left the area. Victim advises suspects took his medication and an undisclosed amount of cash. The only suspect known to victim is the subject who lives at the residence and told him his items were in the back. Incident is under investigation. Accidental Discharge of Firearm/ Resisting and Obstructing 17000 Block of Melrose 12:04am Officers dispatched to address on a report of a drive- by shooting with a female that was shot in the head. Officers arrived to discover that there was a family gathering at the home after a funeral and one family member wanted to take his handgun to the funeral. Family members believed he should not take the gun and took it from him. During this action the handgun accidentally discharged and the round went through the ceiling. No injuries to any parties on scene. One subject was arrested for Resisting and Obstructing. He was interfering with the Officers initial investigation into the circumstances of the shooting and making sure that nobody was injured. At one point, the subject fled the residence and attempted to flee on a motorcycle. OWI- 1- Arrest Lahser Rd/ Northwestern Hwy. 1:11am Officer was dispatched to location on a report of a two vehicle crash. Upon investigating the crash it was learned that the responsible party had been consuming intoxicating beverages. An OWI investigation was conducted. Upon completion of the investigation the responsible party was arrested and lodged for OWI.
