About the 2012 Fall Meeting CPA s annual Fall Meeting is the premiere business and networking event for the North American composite panel industry, bringing together more than 150 industry leaders and spouses. Board and Committee meetings, policy discussions, educational sessions and social events round out this three-day industry gathering. WELCOME RECEPTION The Fall Meeting begins with the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening in the Casino Salon Royal at the Hilton Lac-Leamy. GENERAL SESSIONS & LUNCHEON The Fall Meeting will feature two general sessions and a luncheon with speakers covering issues of significance to the composite panel industry. The Chairman s Reception & Dinner on Monday will include a recognition of industry leaders. Jacket and tie are suggested for the dinner. BOARD & COMMITTEE MEETINGS Participants are invited to attend all Board and Committee meetings. The Executive Committee meeting is the only closed meeting. RED EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation provides scholarships to students in industry related fields of study. Ask for the Composite Panel Association rate when making reservations. The deadline to reserve rooms is August 31, after which the hotel is not obliged to hold this rate or guarantee rooms. AIRPORTS / GROUND TRANSPORTATION Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Gatineau Airport (YND) are both 13 miles (22km) from the Hilton. The Ottawa Station of VIA Rail Canada is 15 minutes away. Taxi service is available from the airport for an average fare of $50.00 (CAD). Self-parking is available at the hotel at no charge. Valet parking is $19.49 (CAD) plus taxes per day. WEATHER AND MEETING ATTIRE Average temperatures in September reach 68 F (20 C) in greater Ottawa, though evening temperatures can drop below 50 F (10 C). Meeting attire is business casual with the exception of jacket and tie at the Chairman's dinner. SPOUSE AND FAMILY PROGRAM Meeting attendees are encouraged to bring their spouses and families.
