Napier Expert to advise Asian Broadcasting Development Robert Beveridge, Lecturer in Media Policy & Regulation; has been invited by the Asia Institute for Broadcasting Development to advise and take part in the development of a Declaration of the Asia Pacific Approach to Public Service Broadcasting. The draft document will be presented to the Asian Broadcasting Union and it is envisaged that it will be adopted by the heads of government summit to take place in Vietnam in 2010. Commenting on this, Robert said: It is a privilege to have been invited and to be the only European member of the working party present at the meeting in Kuala Lumpur. The draft declaration is the result of intensive work with media colleagues from Nepal, China, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and should help to enable public service broadcasting to become better established via examples of good practice Napier Showcased on BBC s One Show Napier s appearance on the BBC s The One Show was a great success and again highlighted our connection with the War Poets.
