INITIATION - BROTHER BRUCE RIACH Brother Riach was initiated in to The United Lodge of Wanganui on the 17th of July 2012. Bruce was an electrician for rail in Taihape and Palmerston North. There were 11 Railway Craftsmen present for his initiation. Much of the work of the evening was conducted by the Worshipful Master of the lodge, WBro. Aaron Potaka. Bruce was immediately signed up as a member of the Association. Congratulations Bruce, and welcome to the fraternity and the Association! Barry was a dedicated member of the Craft and a keen member of the Railway Craftsmen s Association.
INSTALLATION - VWBRO PHIL WAGENER PDistGM VWBro (and KiwiRail Locomotive Engineer) Phil Wagener was installed in to the chair of King Soloman of Lodge Rongotea No. 146 on Wednesday 15th August 2012. Several Railway Craftsmen attended the installation and it was truly a night of profit and pleasure. The installing officer was RWBro Berry and several Railway Craftsmen s Association members participated in various parts of the ceremony. This is Phil s 5th time as Master. He has been Master of Kimbolton, Awatea and Rongotea Lodges. In his long rail career Phil has worked in Whangarei, Papakura, Westfield, Wellington, Taihape - and currently in Palmerston North. He has been married to Bettine since 1967 and they have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Congratulations Phil, and all the best for the year!
